Why are some of y'all shitting on the way Kobe went out instead of just appreciating Tim on his day?

Of course Kobe was gonna get more attention for his ride into the sunset. He played in the second largest media market in the country, for the most famous NBA team of all time, was a flashier player and was more known by even casual basketball fans. His retirement, much like MJ and Shaq's, was gonna draw a lot of attention.

I know ISH gonna ISH, but can't we celebrate Duncan's career and retirement without taking a shit on Kobe (or Lebron for that matter)?

As a Kobe fan who grew up when the Spurs were our biggest rivals, I will say that I have the greatest respect for Tim Duncan and his game. I personally feel zero reason to compare him to Kobe.

TD is the GOAT power forward and one of the greatest to ever play the game and I feel blessed that I got to see him in his prime.

We really gonna pretend he wasn't a center the entire time?

Agree. Duncan is top 10. Kobe is 12th -13th and will be down to 15th within a few years as Curry and Durant rack up the chips and completely waste your hero's legacy:lebronamazed:

Different strokes for different folks.

Each of them did it their own way and went out their own way. The way Kobe went out was my my cup of tea however.

Said this before, there's nothing wrong with the way either of them went out. Kobe went out like Kobe, and Duncan went out like Duncan.

That's really all there is to it. Nothing but respect for both of these guys.

"Mamba" took a fat azz contract to fk up his teams future, held an embarrassing retirement tour while his team lose their way to lottery and worst record in team history.

The Big Fundamental on the other hand, UNIVERSALLY recognized as the greatest PF ever. Took a step back as he got older, left money on the table all to put his team in position to succeed in the 19 years with him and in the future without him.

The comparison between them really make us appreciate and respect Duncan but at the same time see really how selfish is Kobe. Everything he's done is about himself, whereas Duncan is 100% about the Spurs.

It's only that one sad fgt that continues to bring up Kobe, looks like the virgins been on here doing the same shit for the last 10 years.. Now he just has 50 alts making new Lebron threads every 5 mins. What a life:lol

+1 huge respect for Duncan, definitely end of an era..
