Lebron is not top 3

THis article states the 5 best players of each position

Has wilt number 1 at center, higher than Kareem
has bird and duncan as the 2 forwards - Bran's position

Magic at the Pointguard.

Lets exclude Magic for a second,

Wilt is number 1 center, which means he is higher than Kareem. This pushes bran out of the top 3.

Then there is Duncan and Bird, who are also ranked higher than Bran, This pushes bran even further down.

So in essence, these players are better than bran.

Wilt, Bird, Duncan, MJ, Kareem.

A fair argument can be made that Shaq is better than Duncan. A great argument can be made that Kobe is better than Duncan.

This leaves bran pretty low in the totem pole. I think somewhere with the KG, Jerry West category.

Lets compare how each team did agianst their arch rivals

Lebron: Never lost a series to the pacers

Jordan's statline in game 6 ecf vs the pistons- 32-13-5

Jordan had FOUR OTHER PLAYERS score OVER 10 points to add to his 32 and STILL choked to the pistons..


Otoh lebron in his crucial game 6 over the celtics: 46-5-15

Lebron not only out performed jordan greatly, but also WON the game WITH LESS.
Lebron only had 1 other player score over 10 points with wade's 17 points

It was only until the bulls got stacked and the pistons got old that he was able to beat them...
Meanwhile as soon as the system was formed around lebron, they instantly started winning.

Lebron is respectfully in the top 10 - looking to crack into the top 5. Before this title, he was about #10, but this win bumped him up a few spots - most significantly putting the Bird over Lebron discussions to rest
