It's as inappropriate as the Stevie Wonder joke Obama cracked at the start of his speech.

I don't think humor is appropriate at a politically sensitive funeral, as harmless as that joke might be intentioned.

The only time I'd think you could draw a laugh is if you were talking of the diseased person and their impressionable qualities.
