is worse then any of the super collusions of this generation. Jordan was SHOOK from having legit competition (clutch city rockets) that he retired for a few years till his team was STACKED. Jordan essentially avoided all competition in his prime. Something Bron, KD, Curry, Kobe ect never did.

OP is obviously about 12. If he was alive during that time, he would know that the Rockets weren't even considered one of the best teams in the WC during that time before they won (Suns, Sonics, Jazz, Blazers, Spurs). The Rockets won those two rings cause of Hakeem. He took his game to another level. No one viewed the Rockets as some stacked team before they won.

Fu'ken dumbass youngsters need to learn their history and not talk about sh't they know nothing about. Seriously.

Jordan killed his dad. He is lucky that all he got was a one year suspension from basketball.

I'd say the Rockets were just as good as any of those other teams besides the Suns in 93. They weren't particularly that much better in 94...just other teams got worse. (the sonics choke for instance) Like I've said in another thread...the knicks, bulls, and rockets were all similarly built and around the same quality...those 94 bulls would have gave the 94 rockets a series without Jordan. You add MJ? I don't see how the 94 Rockets beat the bulls.

Legit competition? The Rockets won less games than the Knicks and Suns, both of whom Jordan beat. They were a good team but at that time they weren't considered a powerhouse by any means. Hakeem was considered by many to be an underachiever. The Rockets weren't even the top seed for either of their championships and were the 6th seed in 1995. Saying that Jordan wanted to avoid them is ridiculous hindsight due to them winning back to back titles.

Good to see objective, old school cats post here and lay down the TRUTH. These youngster don't know sh't about that era. They see that the Rockets 2 peated and just assume they were stacked. WRONG. Hakeem simply took his game to GOAT level and carried those teams.

GrapeApe is a good poster, but that boy is 19 years old. "Old school cats" LOL

Anyway, yeah, saying he was trying to avoid the Rockets = stupid.

He "quit" basketball because Stern caught him for his illegal gambling. (breaking the leagues gambling rules)

Also, those same gambling issues got his father killed... by a bookie... because Jordan refused to pay his debts.

The guy is not 19. I have read too many of his posts to realize he has a good grasp of that era. If he is 19, he did his homework.

Who cares? He's still the GOAT with just the first 3 peat + his stats. The second 3 peat is just the nail in the coffin, and sets the bar so high that no one can catch him.

No one? LeBron arguably has had a better career thru the same age as Ordan.
