Walton gave a hand to his Warriors, in real market Mozgov was 7 m and Cavs would have likely kept him. This is only reason we signed Mozgov.

So he got Mozgov to change or block shots, which is something he pretty much didn't do at all last season? :biggums: He was a shell of his former self the previous year. Hopefully he comes back to 14-15 form.

He wants a rim protector and then gets a center that didn't protect the rim at all. :oldlol:

Mozgov can alter and block the occasional shot... the problem is that 90 percent of the time players easily blow by him for a layup or he totally gets lost on Pick&Roll's... generally, he was slow as shit last season, maybe this offseason helps him to gain back some form, I will definitely root for him...

He should have got Whiteside. Mozgod is too slow footed for modern NBA and gets eaten alive trying to defend the pick and roll.

The Lakers didn't pick Mozgov over the rest, he was the best option who was willing to take their money.

Whiteside and Horford wanted zero parts off that train wreck.

Mozgov has always been known as an offensive player.....he's never been known for his defense at any point in his career (NBA or Europe).

Walton sounds like a moron.

Walton had no input to the acquisition of Mozgov.....

he stated that on ESPN NEWS(.)

Walton is doing a political end around to protect his bosses.

At this point (as a big) one of his best attributes is his free throw shooting.

Last season he shot 71% on 96 attempts.

I understand Lakers getting Mozgov since guys like Horford and Whiteside didn't want to play for the Lakers, but 64M/4 years is a lot. I don't think anyone would offer him more than 12M and 4 years is a joke. 25M/2 years and I think he happily takes it.
