As an outside observer, the Lakers are pretty interesting. Their players fit what Walton wants to do very well. He has 3 perimeter players to build around who can shoot and 2 of them handle quite well. Russell is a plus plus passer and will be a superstar IMO.

Not a big Randle fan, but you can find a role for him. Nance looks like he is going to become a nice glue guy, so that's pretty huge.

Deng was an awesome signing. They needed some veterans and Deng learned to play that Harrison Barnes role perfectly last year. Great fit again.

Mozgov probably isn't as bad a signing as people are saying, but its not great that's for sure. There were so many big man options that would have been a beter value. Could have landed Koufos on the cheap, gambling on Boban would have been smart. Gotta wonder if Gortat could have been had cheap. Aldrich is an analytics darling defensively. Noel was an option for their pick. Ezeli went for almost nothing. Can't imagine he would have turned down Walton and the Lakers, especially if they upped the offer just a tad. Shoot, I'd rather pay Ezeli Mozgov's deal than Mozgov.
