**** Pat
Instead of taking the the losses of Bron and Wade like a man he's becoming little more than a milquetoast company man shill.

Franchise tag would expose frauds like Lebron and Shaq who would be ringless without ability to switch teams.

Shaq was traded to Miami no choice in the matter but Shaq joined the Lakers who did they have at the time?
Nobody knew Kobe Bryant would end up being as great as he was(except Jerry West apparently) at the time.

If its nothing but being able to scrap the max for one player who can still choose to sign it or not I dont see why the union wouldnt go for it. Guys who want to stay would be signing 6 year 280 million dollar deals and those who wish to leave would be free to do it. It just wouldnt let you sign many other top guys to the team after paying a guy like that.

I believe this is the idea that Pat was alluding to. Not something that retricts player movement like the one in the NFL. It's all about the cap hit.
