Kobe's always been cordial and good with the media but the media always take shots at him and go out of their way to criticize him. no other nba players gets chit on by the media like kobe. its like they have a personal vendetta against the guy. then they always get butthurt when other players prop up kobe and have his back like kd.

What the hell are you blabbering about? If anything the media has given Kobe way too much credit, which is why ESPN ranked him 93rd going into last season when in reality he was much closer to 193rd. :facepalm
Just because no respected media outlet has him in the top 10 (just like every other non kobetard) doesn't mean they hate him. :sleeping

Because not only did he have sex with a white woman, he was accused of raping her.

And he's really good looking, intelligent, and pretty much better than the media in every way.

With other players, the media can feel like they have something on them...but with Kobe, they have nothing they can say they're better at.

just another case of america tryna keep a brother down..

unlike a lot of superstar athletes, kobe wasnt just some street urchin.. he was .. sophisticated, and cultured. wise beyond his years..

it sparked envy.. and, well, a lot of resentment.

Exactly.

He has no weaknesses as a human being.

He's the ultimate alpha.

The media wanted to think they were on his level in some way, but their pretentious asses just felt insecure in his presence.

No one has anything on him.

Kobe has no weakness as a human being? :lol

I'm sure he'd be the first to tell you that you're full of shit.

Or at least that you need to pump your brakes.

But then again he seems like a decent enough guy, maybe he'd let you just have it and laugh along with the rest of us.

He has no weaknesses. He has made mistakes, but that doesn't count because everyone makes mistakes.

He is more intelligent than everyone. He is better looking than everyone. He works harder than anyone. He's more skilled than anyone.

He's the ultimate human being.

Damn.

All this Lebron hate is starting to make a lot more sense..

Well I guess it always did, but you're doing a fantastic job of bringing it to the forefront.

I'm not even trying to rile up anyone or troll, but Kobe had it better than anyone with the media. In LA, he had it perfect. Basketball is their sport there, and he is the main attraction, the hero, and golden child of the city.
Look at all of the losses LA ever experienced. Even against Boston in 08, he received no blame, nothing, etc. I can't remember the media talk at the time of 04 against the Pistons, but I assume it was similar.

I never got that from them. At least back in his prime. ESPN always hype the top players. I remember Kobe would have an 11 for 33 game with the Lakers winning, but Kobe scoring 30 points. But all the highlights are of the tough shots he made, and just the fact that he score 30 points. The guy missed 22 shots, yet the message would be that he played great, the Lakers just lost. I think that was a Christmas game. I think the problem is that some of his fans really, really worship him as a Top 1 player, and they take it personal that others don't quite view him that way. And since it's such a big issue for them, they perceive the lack of worship, or lack of worship that equals their worship to be a sign of disrespect.

If a random person saw this pic they wouldn't get it. The building needs a sign that indicates that the building is the top ten building.

Because he's a selfish chucker on the court, and a rapist off the court.

Kobe is overrated by his fans, so when media don't rate him as highly as you do. You automatically think they hate him.

This. Kobe has been overrated by the media, if anything.

Kobe isn't hated by the media. People always cry that their idols are disrespected by the media, sounding like that "leave Britney alone" queer, but none of the NBA superstars is really "hated" by the media. For all the writers who are crucial of Kobe or LeBron, there's a bunch of others who praise them.
