To be honest I think she has looking good on her side.

Well, a homosexual east African who emigrated to England and died of AIDS clearly speaks to the GOP base.

No she didn't. At this point his supporters are doubling down on this insanity. This campaign passed the point of being comedically bad awhile ago. It just keeps getting funnier.

CNN.com isn't real news. That organization is funded by Hillary supporters and even more biased than Fox News in this day and age.

Luckily, the general public knows this by now.

Also, all Melania did was read a teleprompter. English is not her first language and she's not a politician or experienced orator. Cut her slack.

you're not wrong bro. I barely follow politics and didn't watch any of the convention. Most Americans are like me. We just read headline news and go through twitter.

This is DOMINATING news right now. I haven't even bothered reading/watching anyone else cuz this shit is so much more entertaining. Damn they fcked up

Definitely. Unlike the pro-segregationist KKK/BLM Democrats, Republicans are generally an open and accepting group.

Exactly.

For all we know, Trump did this on purpose and set his wife up because he know how much click bait it would generate and how it would get more mainstream people like you talking about him.

Nah bro. His wife is getting clowned. From what I hear, she was getting good press until ppl found out she was copying her speech from FLOTUS

This inhibits his ability to keep racking up points in the general. And if his post-Convention bump doesn't get him to a solid lead by next week, it's over. When the HOF of Dem politicians (Bernie, Warren, Obama, Bill) go up next week, she gets a bump herself. Trump needs a video showing Michelle gave him permission to copy him Kanye style :lol

On the bright side, she did share a family picture that was nice

All publicity is good publicity. That has been Trump's campaign philosophy from the beginning and it's working.

Nah man that's how it works in the primary but as that controversy with the Mexican judge showed, it doesn't fly in the general

His numbers TANKED after that. Dude could have actually been leading. That highhandedly has kept him at 40% in the polls. He might end up even losing because of that one fck up.

Even the recent close polls were because of bad press for Clinton wrt FBI. But the more bad publicity, it becomes impossible for him to win.

I said it all the way back last Summer when people thought he was a fluke. I said Trump was the clear fav to be the GOP nominee because the polls showed it. The numbers didnt lie. Right now, in the general, it's not looking good. The numbers don't lie

You're right, you have a good point.

Still there are so many ways to get out of this. First off it was only one little paragraph that was paraphrased, the rest of the speech was great.

Melania can for example tearfully apologize to everyone, say that she greatly admires Michelle Obama as a first lady, she can also say she didn't know she was plagiarizing but she directly apologizes to Michelle anyways, etc etc.

Or they can just pretend it never happened, and have Melania talk about her poor immigrant background under communism and how she came to America, helping her to relate to other immigrants in America.

Trump can make a few jokes about it, and it will go away. Melania can even joke about it herself, and gain points for the ability to laugh at herself. Or it will be a campaign killer, but I think that's a bit dramatic. We shall see.
