Lol.

Just imagine how great he would've been if he worked out.

Edit: Ain't thus the dude that shot his driver and went to prison or some shit?

He really can't talk about anybody

Why not?

A. It was a mistake
B. Even if he had shot someone on purpose, why can't he spit out truth?

Lol.

his extra weight worked for him, he was an unstoppable rebounder and could back down anyone in the post with his heavy weight and low center of gravity

even if he was faster and more athletic he probably still wouldn't of given a shit about defense, it was mostly a mentality thing

Really funny, but no, you can't win titles with that type of leader.

It's just not going to happen.

This story should sum it up for that big Barkley fan on this board.

His fatness is what made him so strong and such a powerful rebounder.

If he was in better shape he'd probably be a better defender, also would have set a better example for his teammates. It's hard for teammates to want to play for a fat lazy buffoon.

Barkely being fat was probably a good thing. Kevin love is much weaker now that he lost weight and they are basically the same player.

Jayson Williams. The way he told the story, that is so his personality. The little that I remember.

Agreed, I noticed the same. Marc Gasol too, once he lost his weight he had to work much harder to get a good position on the block, which wore him down considerably.

He did all that shit and was still the best player on his team and a hall of famer.

Kevin Love shoots 3s, but other than that they are very similar.

Short players who use their bodies well to get good rebounding position(which is just as important as height) and good post positioning. . However due to these body types they can never be rim protectors.

Kevin Love lost weight and while I think it has helped his defense and speed it hurts his ability to get position on the post.
Marc Gasol is the same.

Yeah it's pretty well known Barkley wasn't the world's most dedicated athlete. When Jordan retired the 2nd time in January 1999, he called out Barkley on this and said "Barkley doesn't dedicate himself to winning". Pippen said he was lazy, Ainge got on Barkley's case for his late-night partying. Barkley wasn't getting much playing time in his rookie year until Moses Malone told him he was fat and lazy and needed to work harder to get playing time.

Barkley did get considerably thinner in his first several years, but never had a good reputation for practicing hard.

Barkley was a freakish talent.

[B]Not avoiding nothing. Its true Charles did not care of his body when going to the Rockets. But in his prime he worked his ass off but after age 33 it was over. Still you will never see another 6

That was Barkley in Philly. In Phoenix all that shit changed. He was skinny as shit and lifted and worked out like mad.

Does this dude hold the record for most offensive rebounds per game in a season?

He wasn't going to win a championship regardless because Jordan and Hakeem were around. That's the main reason why.
