Similar type of guys with elite athleticism but no reliable outside shots. Winslow stronger built, Brown a better run, jump athlete. Who do you think will have a higher ceiling?
I would go with Winslow.

Winslow is already an elite defender. I don't watch college basketball, so I have no idea how good of a defender Brown is. Winslow might actually make an All-Def team this season.

Brown. He seems more motivated. Is under a better coach and a better team than Winslow

Brown is a lot better. He will shoot eventually. Justise probably won't. Justise is MKG, almost exactly. Brown is more like a Luol Deng with maybe a little more upside.

How is he a "lot" better?

MKG just had a 13/7 on 60% TS season and Winslow is already a better defender than MKG.

Brown is a more complete player. He gets to the rim at will and has a much nicer stroke.
Winslow is not a better defender than MKG. They are basically identical players, both special as defenders. Winslow is a little more raw still though. In their primes both will lock down anyone 1-4. Both have ugly strokes though.

I like how you throw out those MKG stats while not even knowing he only played 7 games last season

Jaylen = Quicker, more explosive, probably will become the better scorer
Justise = Stronger, more fundamentally sound with his footwork on both sides
I like Justise more as a championship role player. Jaylen is great for a scrub team.

Justise Winslow is a winning basketball player. Jaylen Brown will be just a guy.

You might want to look up the stat line from the '15 season 11/8 in 29 minutes a game. Or is 55 games too small a sample as well. I was wrong and shouldn't have used last season, but my point still stands.

Difficult to judge as we've not seen Brown against NBA calibre players. I really like Winslow and he's looked good in his rookie season, so he definitely has a higher floor. As for a higher ceiling I'd say it's Brown, but Winslow, with the higher floor, has a greater chance of reaching his ceiling imo.
Brown has a higher ceiling as of now, and all the tools to be a star in the league but Winslow and Johnson have already shown that they are contributors on playoff teams. Defensively they all have the athletic tools to be good defenders but Winslow has elite instincts and Johnson is quite good, so Jaylen needs to show that he has the defensive awareness to go along with his physical tools.
Offensively i feel Brown has a better base to reach his potential than Winslow. Brown handles are loose but he has some semblance of potentially having the ability to get where he needs on the court but what separates the two in my mind is that Brown is not a non-shooter or has better shooting/scoring instincts than Winslow.
