Wouldn't be shocked if he is a top 3 player this season in the league with LeBron and Leonard. Sorry, I don't count Westbrook in the top 3 player in the league. Zero ability in the clutch, and the dumbest player in the league.

Paul George is always an MVP candidate early in the season, but his mid-season slump is very real. He plays out of his mind early on, but then always comes back down to earth by the end of the year.
I wonder if fatigue and conditioning is a factor here. Maybe with Jeff Teague, Thad Young, and the ascension of Myles Turner, he won't have to carry as much of a load anymore.

He's like the closest thing to a tracy Mcgrady and even then, he's not as good as Tracy was.
Man TMAC was so fun in his prime...

I hear ya. I think this season though he is in MVP talks, and Indy is a top 3 seed.

He may not be as talented as Tmac, but I would honestly rather have George. I don't know, Tmac just always struck me as such a loser. George has already been the best player on two teams that made the ECFs.

I want to see George keep up his pace a whole season. He usually has these 10-15 game streak where's averaging 28-30PPG 7-8 rebounds and 4-5 assists... But then he comes back down and his average goes to 21-23.

then why do you have bron up there?

then why do you have bron up there?
Because LeBron is regarded as one of the smartest players in the league? You can't be serious...

it's insanely difficult to average 25 on good efficiency on a team without other legitimate scoring threats/

Start off strong early in the season, then start to slowly fall off in numbers as the season goes by as usual.
Edit: Oh, PP34 already pointed it out. lmao

Because he's the best player on the planet and 20 times clutcher than any version of Mr 6/24?

PG is the November/December GAWD, hopefully this time it sticks.

Team around him is looking pretty good too, hope they can gel. We could have PG vs LBJ in the ECF again, always fun even though LeBron never loses :lol

Stop. If it wasn't for the league being so watered down, & have PG play somewhere in the early 2000s, he'd be in 2nd-3rd tier of where the Michael Redd's of the league are at.

All you have to do is lead your team past the first round and you automatically surpass TMAC
AND LMFAO AT COMPARING THE WATERED DOWN 2000 EASTERN CONFERENCE TO THE CURRENT EAST
BOTH ARE EQUALLY SHIT

This. Not sure why people think Tmac >> PG is an absolute fact. I would rather take PG.

Wouldn't go that far, I think PG is obviously better than Michael Redd, PG plays defense.

Paul George is in the prime Pierce range. Not peak Tmac level but really good and definitely better than Michael Redd.

Yeah, not Michael Redd, not PP either, that's a stretch as well. A better version of Nets-VC, maybe? PG is just way too consistent.
Obviously can't debate with this logic:
All you have to do is lead your team past the first round and you automatically surpass TMAC.
Today's league is watered down.

PG is a upper-mid tier player. Top 10 and barely. RW is a top 3 player, has potential to be #1 soon with a top 15 GOAT ceiling. RW most likely to win MVP, followed by LBJ, Kawaii, Curry. PG will be lucky to get a 4th place vote.
