Go from 3rd option(4th in Barnes case), lose the finals to Lebron and play shitty only to go to a Texas team as flourish as the 1st option?

I honestly like the signing for Dallas. Still young and potential. I know people try to scapegoat Barnes for Curry's epic choke in the Finals, but the guy is going to be a great player for Dallas. It was the best move they could have made considering Cuban refuses to do an all-out rebuild.

I hope he does so I can stop hating on him for being useless.

He was never a good fit in GS.

I was hoping the Celtics would try to get him while they were preoccupied with chasing Durant.

I'm not sure he will be the first option on the Mavs this year. But I do believe he will improve and flourish with the Mavs. Something that Parsons could not do because of a variety of reasons (health being a major one...).

He's a good player but not one with a ton of upside IMO.

Who knows? Let's not forget, Harden cost OKC the Finals himself :lol

Maybe Barnes is not a spot up 3 point shooter. We will see. He didn't show anyone Harden's ability while in Golden State, but I'd say he was still pretty good if you don't factor in his final 3 games.

He can't dribble, drive or pass like James Harden. His best asset is his athleticism and if his 3 goes in which he is extremely streaky with.

We all knew before he went to Houston that Harden was a special player with superstar potential. For Barnes, no one thinks that.

Barnes isn't as bad as his choke job in the Finals suggests, but he ain't no Harden.

15 PPG should be an achievable goal for him.

Wasn't a good fit? He was given wide open jumpers, 1 v 1 post-ups, and open lanes to the hoop on a consistent basis... and he did very little with it. I was a big advocate of Barnes for a long time, but I've come to the realization that he's probably the next Jeff Green; a guy with all the physical tools, but for some reason, just never seems to put it all together. I hope I'm wrong, because I've been a Black Falcon fan since he joined the Warriors.

Barnes isn't 1 third of the player Harden is except for being a better defender.

This. You just knew with Harden.
