If I remember correctly, the only game they won required Westbrook to go god mode. what happened to this team and Durant?

Westbrook went god mode in gm4 as well: 43/6/6 in 31 shots.

But a certain someone got his shit pushed in by Mike Miller and Shane Battier.

You're remembering it very wrong...

Westbrook went god mode in game 4, and had that stupid foul at the end, and they lost...

KD had like 37 in game 1, and it was game 1 or 2 where Magic foolishly said this was the worst he'd ever seen a PG play a half in the NBA finals, regarding Westbrook.

LeBron got KD into foul trouble, pounded the boards... It's a very forgotten part of that finals and why LeBron outplayed KD

Outplayed might be an overstatement, but LeBron's physical dominance of KD in those games were crucial.

Oh he did

KD had 20 PFs in the series... so 4 per game

In game 2, 3 and 5 he had 5 fouls

Crucial games

LeBron played physical ball and took KD to the shearers

For whatever advantage KD had in scoring and efficiency, LeBron made up for it in physical play, rebounding and facilitating

Durant and Westbrook showed up, but the Heat were a bad matchup for them. Perkins had zero hope of guarding Bosh and Presti refused to go small. This was before Ibaka had a 3 point shot and the league adopted small ball as the norm. They couldnt cover the Heats role players and the OKC role players arent scorers.

The Heat honestly just had to make open shots by game 5 and the blowout happened. They probably would have won game 6 and 7 if it came to that as well.

Game 2, refs swallowed their whistles and let Lebron maul KD to get a stop at the end of the game. This was back when KD was actually clutch and a tough cover at the end of games. Stern thought he was prolonging the series, he basically served it up for Lebron on a silver platter.

Harden had an all time choke after beasting previously, and the Refs didn't let KD play defense.. basically bron would put his head down, run him over a few times and he had to be benched.

After KD took over game 1, the league couldnt have a repeat of 2011..

As people have said, they called tacky fouls on KD and he was forced to sit out extended periods. Atrocious officiating.

No, that was game 4. The heat won that after Westbrook (who had an amazing game) ruined it by fouling Chalmers with less than 20 seconds after not realizing that a jump ball only resets the Miami shot clock to 5 seconds if it was lower than that before the tie-up.

The Thunder didn't have to foul. Miami had to win the jump ball and get a shot off within 5 seconds. Westbrook, not realising this, immediately fouled and miami made it a 2 possession game. That made it 3-1 and the heat finished it off the next game.
