Would we also be giving him the rest of the Lakers roster and coaching staff?

Would be redundant with Bosh considering they're same caliber of player. So none. Definitely wouldn't beat this past year's Warrior team. Not enough toughness.

Since Wade was absolutely AWFUL and non-existent in the 13 Finals, I find it hard to believe anyone could think he wouldn't have won with a peak Pau over a guy that was a -54 in a 7 game series his team won.

And if he had Pau in 09 he def would have won a title too. D12 DOMINATED the Cavs in the ECF and Pau outplayed him in the Finals by a comfortable margin.

Add in Odom, PJax, etc and I assure you he would have done just fine.

He won them game 4 on the road. Bron stat padded after the game was decided.

Show me another Finals where the second best player on a team that won was a -54. It was conventional wisdom that he was hurting the team and the media was saying he should be coming off the bench.

wade was very good in the 2013 Finals .. it was before the Finals that he wasnt playing that well but the East was a joke so it didnt matter. and Wade was better than Pau ever was in 2012 and 2011.. kyrie this year was equal to or better than Pau ever was as well, and all this is without including prime versions of Chris Bosh and Kevin Love.. lol.

Odom is also very redundant with Lebron.. they have very similar skillsets. Pau clogging the middle? that hurts Jame's game big time.. less driving lanes. We saw Bosh's game get pushed out to the 3 pt line to accomodate so no reason to think Pau wouldnt suffer a similar fate.

As for OP, out west? no titles.. chris paul esque resume.

Kobe stans down playing Gasol's contributions again...he was a borderline top 10 player in 09 and 10.

Dwyane Wade wasn't Dwyane Wade after 2012. Pau in 09/10 was clearly better than an ailing Wade in 13/14 in the playoffs.

Either way, the heat were playing better teams than the lakers were in 09/10, so this whole "replace so and so with so and so" doesn't really work unless we are going to account for that.

You can't START OUT your posts with dumb things. Then no one will read the rest of the post.

http://www.sbnation.com/2013/6/19/4444164/lebron-james-dwyane-wade-heat-spurs-nba-finals-game-6

Again, Wade was -54 in the 2013 Finals and EVERYONE was calling for him to come off the bench.

Here is a Tweet detailing JUST HOW BAD IT WAS:

O-Rtg/D-Rtg with LBJ/Wade: 100.8/112.7 ... O-Rtg/D-Rtg with LBJ/NO Wade: 131.7/89.5

That was made after G6.

Again, a Kobe fan eschews facts with blather. I bet you guys all like Trump too.

Only Kobe can Foster hatred to a point where people are saying Pau>>>Wade or Pau=Shaq.

With Kobe, logic is always an afterthought.

I don't think people even realize what they're saying. Blinded by hate.

lol i hate trump.. but just no. Wade was very good in the 2013 Finals and finally showed up when the Heat had a worthy challenger.. it's not his fault that James is a terrible fit with every star hes ever played with besides kyrie.

Did you just see what I posted? I mean it was filled with FACTS, ARTICLES, ESPN's Haberstroh saying he should come off the bench because of his ineffective play, how much better they were with Wade out than in, etc.

And you STILL continue to defend an indefensible position.

Wade was GREAT in 2011. Outstanding in 2012. But he was DONE after that. Which, I imagine, was a key reason why LeBron left.

He still has great games. Even last year. But consistent excellence? Nah. His knees were beat before he got to the NBA and 3 straight years of going to the Finals and getting everyone's best every night took his health.

When I say done, I don't mean his career is over. I mean as a cornerstone to a Championship level team, he just wasn't at that level post 2012.

He was starting to find his rhythm and peak during the win streak in 2013...out played lebron in more than a few games during that streak...but then he hurt his knee and was ailing through the rest of the season and playoffs. Pre-injury 2013 Wade was great though.

Pau would basically look like half the player Love currently is with worse defense. 0 championships, not even a discussion.

Absolutely. But those chronic injuries really destroyed him as a player.

And for all the excuses people make about LeBron's Finals streak, it is NO JOKE to be playing the number of playoff he games he has played the last 6 years. Kerr has come out and said the Bulls wouldn't have won in 94 even if MJ had come back because they were all mentally and physically wiped out. There is a reason no one else has done it. It just takes too much out of you. And there is a history of guys whose careers were cut short because of those playoff miles. Even Bird suffered from it.

Lebron never really had a true big man to the very least of a Gasol offensively & defensively.... it would be huge, a great big man + perimeter tandem (especially of a Jordan-Lebron-Magic level) is what gives the most success... better yet giving him something like prime freaking Shaq, can you imagine that scenario, it would be hell on earth...

On what world is 38.5/8.3/8.0 on .591TS% while often facing quadruple coverage, draining a game winning 28 footer falling away..., a let down?

You must have insane expectations of LBJ. I mean I know he is top 3 all time but you must think he is comfortably #1.

The late 2000s Celtics were a SUPER team with top players at 4 different positions! Rondo, Allen, Garnett and Pierce..They gave Lebron nightmares and sent his ass to south beach. Kobe did not have to collude or ride the back of a #1 pick to beat a super team. He made do with the players he had and Alpha'd his way to victory!

He "made do" with the most dominant center ever. He "made do" with another future HOF big man in Gasol. He "made do" with Phil Jackson while Lebron won titles with Eric Spoelstra and Tyronn Lue.

The Lakers also lucked out with KG getting injured which allowed them to face the magic in the 2009 finals. The 2010 celtics were hardly a super team by that point.

Kobe's corner (including West) manipulated the draft so he could play for the 2nd winningest franchise in NBA history.

He could have tried to build a contender in New Jersey who wanted to draft him....but the puzsy didn't want to take on that challenge. He instead took the easy way.
