View Full Version : 16 Warriors Would Have Beat 96 Bulls in 5, 6 Games Tops

Curry>>>>>>>>>Harper
Jordan >> Thompson
Barnes <<<Pippen
Green>>>>Rodman
Bogut>>>>Longley, Anything Chicago had at center

Coaching is about even. Jackson more titles, Kerr more coach of the year awards.

Also take into part the Warriors won 73 games in a much tougher era. The league wasn't watered down by expansion teams, power forwards have more than 3 foot of range, and defenses overall are much tougher. Chicago doesn't have a LeBron on their team to elevate the weaknesses of his teammates. The Bulls would be totally exposed against GS.

Every team LeBron has beaten in the playoffs has been better than any team Jordan beat in the playoffs. And it's not even close either. Do you think LeBron would rather play the 98 Jazz or the 13 Spurs? How about the 92 Blazers or 12 Thunder? :oldlol: :oldlol: :oldlol: Gtfo

yawn, fanboy. I don't even like Jordan (which everyone knows) and he's still easily greater than Lebron to me.

I don't know, judging by how Curry has done in the past 2 finals, I'd say Bulls in 6. Curry just flat out sucks in the finals.

This.

For whatever reason, these LeBron* fans still think a manufactured star without a post move (other than that stiff arm) has a shot at being the GOAT.

If being 5/7 doesn't make you GOAT, then 3/7 certainly doesn't.

He was suffering from an MCL injury

Check out his clutch statistics from the year prior where he had both legs underneath him
Lebron James fractured his wrist during game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals
"Most distal radius fractures take 4-6 weeks to heal."

The play happened as Lebron went up for the series winning dunk

He was contested by Warriors FMVP Draymond Green

https://s31.postimg.org/czuunblej/lebron3.png

The 2 collided with James falling 10 feet in the air helpless and bracing himself with only his right hand

https://s31.postimg.org/w2e8a8wez/lebron1.png

Cavs players, bench and staff all came over because they knew instantly what they witnessed was career ending in most cases

https://s31.postimg.org/ppz30etcr/lebron2.png
https://s31.postimg.org/josnvd6dn/lebron4.pnghttps://s31.postimg.org/gj8255nrf/lebron5.png

Astonishingly he was able to briefly recover and play on the rest of the game. With 12 sec left on a 1 possession game, he drew a foul and was sent to the line. Shooting on that same right hand that was fractured he sunk the game winning shot.

https://s31.postimg.org/j22hdt9uj/lebron55.png

Despite playing a 73-9 team at full strength (minus their Center who avg 12 min with net negative -14).

Injured James was still able to execute a triple double on the opponents home floor

27 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks

Why do people continue to do player for player comparisons? It's a ririculously flawed way to compare teams. Basketball doesn't work like that.

As for the thread topic, are we talking regular season Warriors or playoff Warriors? When the Warriors were healthy and playing their best basketball, they may have been able to challenge the Bulls in a 7 game series. That being said, Jordan and Pippen would dominate Curry and Thompson. Rodman would probably get Green suspended. The main advantage for the Warriors would be their depth, but depth isn't as important in a playoff setting.

Then lebron beat them almost single handedly, out-rebounding their big men, outscored their 2 time mvp and scoring champ, and out assisting, stealing and blocking more than anyone.

Rodman in his era is just a role replayer. In the late 80s and 90s he was a HOF talent. But we're talking about two different eras here. With this current era being miles ahead talent-wise.

The Warriors were the same team in the playoffs as they were in the regular season. The only difference is the playoffs afford teams a chance to focus on one team for 2 weeks instead of jumping from city to city every other night. That plus the added playoff intensity. Teams would write off games in the regular season they wouldn't write off in the playoffs.

Op is correct. MJ teams are regarded in folklore status nowadays. Plays and schemes back then are very primal compared to the exotic plays carried out in the modern nba. The floor is spaced. Everyone is a better 3 point shooter. The days of stiffs packing the paint are over. They would destroy the Bulls.

Great and simple way to put it, really

Everyone talks about the talent but really its the floorplan that in comparison makes the 90s diluted

Oh the irony... Ron Harper was one of the best long defensive PGs ever. Jordan best defensive perimeter two guard ever. Pippen the best perimeter three ever. Rodman the best one on one at the four. Rodman and Jordan among the best ever at head games. Absolutely the worst formula for a young tight team.
