Durant averaged 30.6 PPG on 65 TS% in the 2012 NBA Finals. He wasn't the reason why they lost. Don't know where this myth about Bran owning him comes from.

The 13-3 head to head record and backdoor sweep in the Finals?

He got destroyed on defense that series, and did nothing when it came to intangibles. People that pimp that stat must not have actually watched the finals.

Well Westbrook plays like a wild animal on cocaine so it's hard to have an actual organized team offensive and defensive scheme. Durant played well defensively in the playoffs this season. I think he will make 2nd team All NBA defense next season. Durant's game will become more well rounded since he will finally play in an organized system with intelligent players.

He couldn't guard Lebron. He tried and then his coach decided enough was enough and Sefalosha was placed on Lebron the rest of the way.

Yet, Lebron was able to guard him at the other end.

Not to mention that we aren't even talking about playmaking, Lebron's best trait. KD averaged 2 assists that series.

So, yes, he got owned.

OKC offense was built around LeBron Ball. Put Durant on a team with ball movement like 2011 Mavericks and he sweeps Miami.

Well if the dubs are 100% healthy this season Durant will sweep Bran and win FMVP.

He was? 30.6 PPG on 65 TS% says otherwise.

KD got in foul trouble because he couldn't guard LeBron

LeBron dominated him physically, destroying him on the boards

Go back and watch the games.. Hence why LeBron's gamescore was superior and so was all his advanced metrics

Do you judge a finals performance on 2 stats?

They would also probably disagree with with us saying that dribbling with two hands is better than one and tell us the jump shot is no good

Bringing up philosophies that were effective 50 plus years ago isn't really helping your case

lol

what if player x averaged 40ppg at 70TS game 1 and 2, then dropped 20 ppg at 45TS in last 2 games and lost in 4 games? Does that tell story?

Cause he had worse team .

Harden and Ibaka choked . Rest of team were trash , beside of Nick and Thabo ( And Westbrook for sure ) . While Lebron had great team around him , Miller/Battier/Chalmers trio were amazing efficient in the series rather than Harden,Ibaka .

Agree with OP. Kevin Durant is 10 times better in finals than is choke artist idol Kobe who averages 40% in the finals and 25%fg in finals game 7's :lebronamazed:

He played with two players that would be 1st team all NBA players within a few years and lost 4-1. His defense at that point was Hardenesque.

Unless you want to say that a player who had great stats in a losing effort had a great performance. In which case, welcome to the LeBron fam!

And the 4-1 playoff H2H mirrors those percentages as closely as possible.

Bran played better but he most certainly didn't own Durant. Durant played very well especially when you consider he was only 23 years old.

durant helped in literally no other way. miami / lebron let durant get his points but he contributed nothing else on both sides of floor, liability most of the times. mediocre performance at best.

I think some of your are borderline retarded.

There's no rationale way to criticize a 23 year old for putting up 30ppg on 65ts% in the ****ing finals against Miami's superteam.
