Lets account for Lebron and Kobe's playoff runs, including the opponents they lost to.
- M.O.V.=Margin of victory weight of its opponent-adjusted scoring margin by the importance of each game http://www.basketballprospectus.com/unfiltered/?p=923
- S.O.S.=Strength of schedule was determined using the pre-series Elo ratings of a team’s opponents. Games were weighted according to how much they swung each team’s title odds.
ex: 2016 Cavaliers pre-series win probability (ELO) against the Warriors was 27.4%
- Rating= SOS and MOV combined
YEAR..CHAMP...M.O.V...S.O.S...RATING
2014...Spurs....+12.9...+4.5.....+17.4
2001...Lakers...+10.....+4.9.....+14.9
2016...Cavalier+6.1....+8.6......+14.7
2015...Warrior..+8.4....+6.1.....+14.5
2008...Celtics...+7.4....+4.7.....+12.1
2009...Lakers....+8.3....+6.2.....+14.5
2004...Detroit...+7.2....+4.6.....+11.8
2012...Miami....+6.6....+5.1.....+11.7
2011...Dallas....+4.3....+6.9.....+11.2
2002...Lakers....+4.6....+6.1.....+10.7
2010...Lakers....+4.5....+5.4.....+9.9
2007...Spurs.....+5.3....+4.3.....+9.6
2013...Miami.....+3.9....+4.5.....+8.4
2000...Lakers....+2.6....+4.3.....+6.9
Championship teams
Lebron avg M.O.V. = 5.7
Kobes avg M.O.V. = 6
Lebron avg S.O.S. = 6
Kobes avg S.O.S. = 5.38
Opponents Average
Lebrons M.O.V = 7.7
Kobes M.O.V. = 7.3
Lebron S.O.S.= 5.45
Kobes S.O.S. = 4.7
When you combine BOTH Champion teams avg and Opponent avg
Lebron Teams M.O.V + S.O.S. 24.85
Kobes Teams M.O.V. + S.O.S 23.38
For Playoff runs, Lebron's teams and his Finals opponents had better margins of victory and faced tougher opponents than Kobe's teams and his opponents.
Lebron's Finals teams not only had greater playoff journeys than Kobe's but the teams Lebron faced had much greater journeys also. Giving the conclusion Lebrons faced much more adversity in his Finals losses

That Thunder team with 3 MVP caliber players is MUCH better than any team Kobe ever beat in the Finals. It's honestly pretty sad once you realize that Kobe's most impressive Finals win came against a group of geriatrics :oldlol:

I think LeBron's on-court impact was BETTER than Kobe's ever was years prior to this, but I'll be unbiased and factor in both individual play and accolades... I'll say the 2013 Finals. That was when I think we all realized "damn... same number of rings as the man AND the better player on both ends? It's done. Have fun being consensus not top 10 forever, Mamba."
Remember these days, fellow Bransvestites? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRLcOKQiuvA We've come a long way.

No they weren't threatened. Its all you kobetards and lebeej idiots arguing with each other in some sort of intricate ISH circle jerk that still continues to this day.
2007 is when. LEbeej surpassed kobe. He took a team with no business being decent into the finals. If I replaced kobe with any version of LeBron 2007+ on the Lakers, he would have taken all those chips easy, he would have had 2008. That's six chips and then add his next 3 for 9 chips.

Think about it, Lebron scored more, assisted more, and rebounded more and won more as the third option on a ''stacked'' 47 win heat team in his first year than kobe did as the league dog with a system molded around him on a lakers team coming off back to back championships. embarrasing :lol :lol

I'll say that LeBron of 2008, 2009, and 2010 was a better on court performer and producer than Kobe ever was. It was that stretch when his jumper became more consistent and he improved defensively that emphatically made him the better basketball player.
Not until the end of the 2013 season after winning back to back rings, back to back Finals MVPs, and repeat of back to back MVPs that the case was closed statistically, impact and resume wise as him being better once he matched the ring total as "the man" with Kobe.
Taking a Love and Kyrie less team to the Finals after coming back home, and subsequently beating the massive favorite 73 win Warriors pretty much dumped a truck load of dirt on any possible sane argument of Kobe being better than LeBron. Accompanied with ESPN already ranking dude top 5 ever, at 31 years old, with many years left of great ball?
And you can see why the Kobe stans have been having heart attack melt downs, with a chaser of depression ever since the Finals ended in June.
There is no argument now. Not even a discussion really. LeBron had totally elevated himself to a higher level than Kobe ever was. Mamba is far back in the rear view mirror, and LeBron still has more pulling away to do on the gas pedal before he's done.
Nah, Kobe still has more rangz and LeBron never scored 81

All you LeBron haters did last season was tell how Curry was the best player in the league, and how LeBron going 2/7 in the Finals was a lock. Now that the complete opposite happened, LeBron is unanimously considered the best player in the league, and Curry was embarrassed so bad this 16 Finals loss will be forever a black mark on his career. And now you're getting upset about the LeBron talk? It's going to be a long offseason still for a lot of you posters.

Couldn't have happened to a more deserving group. Kobe fans are, and always have been, the lowest of the low. Looking back, it still boggles my mind the extent to which LeBron petrified them. How every single one of them made it their life's mission to relentlessly hate and diminish anything LeBron did in order to protect their GOD.
And :oldlol: @ LeBron fans being angry. Where?? And why?? The only thing I've seen all summer is LeBron fans celebrating the fact that the entire universe recognizes him as a top 3-5 player of ALL TIME, far ahead of Kobe. And we know that kills you Kobe fans. Absolutely kills you. A decade full of shameless trolling and at the end of the day, none of it mattered. LeBron won.

lol @ Bynum being better than Mo Williams, dude averaged 7/6 and 9/7 in '09 and '10 respectively during the playoffs. He was nothing more than a role playing big.
And yeah, because demanding a trade from a team with Smush Parker and Kwame Brown playing 40 minutes a game is more embarrassing than abandoning your hometown team to join Prime Wade & Prime Bosh, and then just 4 years later joining Prime Kyrie and Prime KLove in Cleveland. :oldlol:

Lebron actually joined up w/ prime Dwayne Wade.
:yaohappy:
He quit and demanded a trade. You can sugarcoat it all you want. But he still quit and demanded a trade. And for the record, the Bulls at that time were considered one player away from being a force.

lol @ Bynum being better than Mo Williams, dude averaged 7/6 and 9/7 in '09 and '10 respectively during the playoffs.
:oldlol:

Keep defending it. LeBron never demanded a trade. And he played for the Cavs when they had no cap space and teams avoided Cleveland like the plague. You can't bash LeBron for anything he did in free agency because he was a free agent. Kobe legit demanded to be moved from LA. And even tossed his teammates under the buss doing so.

I see some kobe fans squeeling that 10' Celtics = 16' Warriors
2010...Lakers....+4.5....+5.4.....+9.9
was one of the easiest paths to a Championship

3 FMVPS/4 MVPs >>> 2Finals MVPs/1 MVP
I mean LeBron's 16 Finals win alone s.hits on anything Kobe ever did in the playoff. When did Kobe even win a series where his team was the underdog? :oldlol: You factor in stats and its not even fair. Kobe fans are clinging to an 81 point game, and two rings that Kobe has because he was drafted to the Lakers and not the Cleveland Cavaliers. Who were the Clippers of the eastern conference.

I don't get the anger. Lebron just won a championship. Why are y'all still so damn salty that Kobe was the better player and is higher on the GOAT list? You should be happy that your guy finally got the help he needed to win again.

i'll clue you in .. Lebron quit too. Game 5 (http://www.nba.com/2010/news/07/09/cavs.owner/index.html). And then he went on national television and embarrased his franchise in the worst way imaginable while announcing he would be joining and actually playing with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. The three then proceeded to dance on stage and proclaim themselves forward to have a bill russel level dynasty.
all that ^^ is not the same as kobe simply telling management he wants to be traded to the bulls to play with luol fking deng .. lmao

Cavs were up 2-1 with Game 4 in Cleveland. LeBron proceeds to go 7-18, 3-14, and 8-21 while averaging over 6 turnovers causing the Cavs to lose the next 3 games. :lol
And people want to say Kobe "quit" against the Suns when he put up 23 in the first half against the Suns in game 7. That's more points than LeBron had total in games 4 AND 5. LeBron is the real quitter, not Kobe fellas.
