The 2012 Team had no Team Captain because Coach K didn't want to hurt Bran's feelings. Bran would have been a huge Team Cancer if he had to become Kobe's subordinate again.

He also has 2 bronze medals without Kobe and 2 gold medals with Kobe. Coach K named Kobe captain for a reason. Bran tarnished Coach K's legacy by choking in the 2006 FIBA tournament.

How many gold medals does Kobe have without LeBron?

This is the kind of nonsense you kobe stans are forced to go with now that LeBron is so far ahead in the nba eh? Regardless....wade was clearly the best player on the 2008 Olympic team.

Why didn't Kobe play in 2004 for team USA?

That and Bran was the best player in the world in 2012.

Kobe was in 2008.

Lebron was the 2nd youngest player on that squad behind Chris Paul...Coach K named Kobe the captain out of respect.

Where do you rank Melo after he wins his 3rd gold medal? Since we're putting so much stock into team USA accomplishments and all.
