The biggest shot was the clunker Curry put up to tie with 30 sec to go. Literally lost the series for the Warriors

The best made shot was Lebrons series clinching free throw with a shattered wrist

You have to keep in mind that, since 1970, there have only been 10 Game 7s in The Finals since 1970. The majority of those were not close games.

Here are the years there were a Game 7 and the outcome:

1970: Knicks 113, Lakers 99
1974: Celtics 102, Bucks 87
1978: Bullets 105, Sonics 99
1984: Celtics 111, Lakers 102
1988: Lakers 108, Pistons 105
1994: Rockets 90, Knicks 84
2005: Spurs 81, Pistons 74
2010: Lakers 83, Celtics 79
2013: Heat 95, Spurs 88
2016: Cavs 93, Warriors 89

Of those 10 Game 7s since 1970, only three were within five points and most weren't close.

You basically have this year, 2010, and 1988.

In 2010, Artest hit the Lakers' final field goal with (a three) with a minute left to put the Lakers up by 6. It was a really good game that went back-and-forth throughout, but that doesn't come close to Kyrie's game-winner with the game tied.

In 1988, the Lakers had a nice lead before the Pistons made a furious comeback to get close, but they couldn't make up the ground. There was no definitive shot.

Conclusion: Kyrie's three-pointer with the game tied and 50 seconds left was by far the biggest shot in modern NBA history. I only looked back to 1970. It may be the biggest shot in a Finals Game 7 in NBA history, period. I didn't feel like going through all those Celtics title games.

Kyrie. Easily.
There was 54 seconds left after the shot and it put the Cavs up by 3

There was plenty of time for the top 3pt shooting in the history of the NBA to tie it up.

If you're talking pure nostalgic reasoning....then I agree.

Don't have time to research now......just saying that the best 3pt shooting team in the history of the NBA was down by 3......"with 54 seconds left".......not 4 seconds left.

I would bet the odds were in GS favor in tying the game with that much time left.

Not really, since they hadn't scored in the previous 3+ minutes and continued to not score through the last 50 seconds. Their offense completely fell apart.

Kyrie's shot is easily the biggest in an NBA Final Game 7. See my post above as proof. Most Game 7s aren't even competitive.

Neither team had scored for a huge stretch and it truly felt like the team to score would be the one to win. The fact that it was a three was just icing on the proverbial cake.

The shot was gi-normous both in the moment and in retrospect.

Strictly for game 7 of finals I'd say:

Kyrie, then Bron in 2013 then Artest.

But strangely I still feel like Ray Allen's shot was more clutch and more impactful than all of the above, if that's even possible because that was in game 6.

Who's with me?

Yup, I would also agree that Allen's shot is the single most signaficant shot in NBA history.

Ray Allen's shot is only the most significant shot in history if one feels that all of NBA history revolves around Lebron's legacy.

I would argue that Artest's shot was greater. Consider the situation, Kobe was demanding the ball. Artest was not what you would call a good shooter and hasn't been shooting well all series long. Add to that he was quite far behind the line. He wasn't suppose to shoot that end of game shot. It was clearly a moment of insanity by a crazy person.

Kyrie on the other hand, was a supremely talented shooter with unlimited range. He was playing well all series long. Offensively, he was always first or second option. Isolation was his specialty so for him to do what he did was, while spectacular, not surprising.
