Bogdanovic looking like the Croatian Kobe Bryant. Saric is an interesting player and I can't seem to rate him as a player. He's a very versatile player but a bit passive offensively(might be the system more than him). Good passer, good rebounder, athletic, appears to play good defense, doesn't seem to have a post game(yet), finishing looks like it needs work, looks like he can drive to the rim.

This thread exposes the huge lack of knowledge this forum has for any basketball outside the NBA.

Croatia beating Spain is hardly any kind of upset. These are two of the better European teams...these kinds of teams beat each other all the time.

Spain loses 2-3 games at every single EuroBasket, for years on end.

Stop basing everything about international basketball on what morons like Fran Frischilla and Mark Stein say.

True, this isn't like Nigeria demolishing Greece.

First time I agree with euroleague, Croatia beating Spain is far from an upset.

That's a sad state of affairs for Spain, who have been the clear 2nd best team in the World for quite some time.

Spain just keeps getting older. Where are the up-and-coming stars?

They don't have many up-and-coming guys. Just went through their golden generation.

Spain was the favorite but It's not a upset at all. As some has said, Spain is getting older and Croatia is a pretty good team. Spain has gotten into trouble, next wednesday against Brazil will be a really tough game. Specially if refs help the home team, something that is predictable in the Olympics. Missing the knockout stage is a posibility. Group B is definitely the group of death.

What you think about the Australian's? They dominated France without Ben Simmons, Thon Maker or Exum.

Spain vs Croatia wasn't an upset? Dang, the way the Croatia players were celebrating it I thought they had just won silver.

Might have to do something that they won by 2 points with a game saving block?

 Any time Spain loses to any teams sans USA is an upset .

This is why Spain sandbag their way to meet USA in the final:confusedshrug:

Stop being a moron. Spain loses multiple games in every tournament they play with European teams.

People that only watch Olympics (which is the 3rd level international tournament) think they are way better than they really are.

This is the kind of thing that proves how absurd it is for the US to claim the Olympics is the top international tournament.

In EuroBasket, Croatia beating Spain is never called an upset. But in USA only world view, it is somehow shocking.

Get a grip, the Olympics is a joke tournament, and so Spain usually avoids having to play any good teams (except USA) when in the Olympics.

It's not like a EuroBasket, where you have 20 teams that could make the quarterfinals of the Olympics.

If they played, Australia probably loses. None of them are good players right now.

Spain sure gets "upset" a lot at the FIBA World Cup and EuroBasket then....
