My dad used to castrate horses by tying a rubber band around their balls. I don't know how he did this without ever getting injured. I still have a small scar above my left eye from a horse that got spooked by a gunshot. Went through 2 electric fences and ended up with me getting clothslined by a lemon tree branch.

I was 9 years old. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. At least that's what my dad told me after I stopped crying. :lol

Somebody told me when I was a kid to never walk behind a horse and I took it to heart. Where there is a horse around, such as a police officer on a horse, I make sure I stay clear.

I'm scared of it happening to me.

My family told me the same thing. So I always was extra cautious as a kid, but after I watching my parents continuously ignore their own advice I began to let my guard down until I was kicked hard by a pony right in the thigh. :lol
