I think there is still this perception of MJ as the consensus GOAT bc we tend to defer to the opinions of elders in things like these. But as you can see, even among them there is a silent majority who has come to terms with the fact that it's LBJ's crown now.

Anyway, I jjust thought the raw data was interesing. It seems to point to the fact that eventually as more time goes by, Lebron's status as GOAT will become more of a social given than it already is. Figured Id post it for all you statistic fiends

.

............PERCENTAGE OF TEAM PTS SCORED WHILE PLAYER ON FLOOR

........................RS......RS 4th.... PO.....PO 4th....Finals.. Finals 4th

JORDAN 1997... 36.0..... 40.1..... 37.7..... 46.3...... 40.9...... 50.4 <---- links to nba.com data
JORDAN 1998... 36.3..... 42.1..... 39.7..... 48.8...... 43.6...... 49.1

LEBRON 2012... 34.2..... 33.8..... 34.5..... 34.9...... 30.0...... 33.3
LEBRON 2013... 32.1..... 32.1..... 30.6..... 36.0...... 29.3...... 39.1
LEBRON 2016... 31.5..... 36.7..... 30.2..... 35.2...... 33.9...... 47.1

Teams can win with less rebounds or assists - but never less points - so scoring is the most important category

And since #1 options control the scoring and flow more than anyone else, MJ's scoring and efficiency edge is more important than Lebron's replaceable defensive rebounds against small ball lineups, or 1 assist edge achieved via Westbrook-like turnovers and time of possession.

Interesting, very interesting!

LeBron, the GOAT?!

The consensus has spoken, to the dismay of Ordan and 12be stans. I knew this day would come just not so fast without warning.

What a TIME!

No link needed OP, I trust you have credible sources.

OP is obsessed with lifestyles he doesn't live. His next persona will probably be some grizzled, globe-traveling adventurer. He's obsessed with other people and their interesting lives. He doesn't have one of his own. He sits in front of the computer 24/7 ringing his hands over other humans and how they live. Guy is a not actually a CavsFan, nor a kid living it up in college, nor anything else he pretends to be. He's some weirdo in a basement on a laptop.

Not only is LBJ the GOAT basketball player, he is the GOAT philanthropist (from an athlete). He is sending thousands of kids to college via his scholarship.
