I lived in Egypt, sport. I actually experienced it for myself. I went to school with and hanged around with Egyptians every day.

Shit you read on huff po and salon.com represents sheltered views of middle class liberals who have never left New England.

1. Don't talk about things you have zero understanding of.

believe it or not i don't get much of anything from salon or huff po or whatever. it was actually a conversation between some israelis that helped confirm my understanding of the situation in egypt right now. so maybe you should take your own advice and not assume shit you know nothing about.

yeah, you may have lived in egypt and palled around with other students for a while, but you'd pretty much be the last person i would consult to get a level-headed history from.

there's also the fact that egypt has been a pretty unstable country ever since the arab spring. whatever you can say about living in one specific place at one specific time with a certain group of people does not necessarily apply at this point, especially to a country like that.
