USFL was kind of like the ABA, both leagues inferior to the NFL & NBA, but they had lots of talent and potential, USFL for example had players Jim Kelly, Steve Young, & Reggie White, all HOF players. It was a league on the rise until Trump came in and ruined the league.

Of course. With average attendances that plateaued at an anemic 24,000 it was only a matter of time before the USFL rivaled or even supplanted the NFL. :facepalm

they also had herschel walker, mike rozier, ricky sanders, charles martin, gary zimmerman, kelvin bryant and a bunch of other stars of the NFL.

philadelphia wound up getting reggie white out of the USFL's collapse, so i'm pretty happy about it. they had arguably the greatest defense in NFL history in 1991, and it was all built around him.
