Welp, not to say I told you so, but I told you so.

The worst part is, you know that the first 30 were more or less hand picked because the powers that be wanted a good showing. Here we are though... 0/30 now, and #31 is nowhere to be found.

“At this time, there are no female officers enrolled or slated to attend IOC,” Capt. Joshua Pena, a spokesman for Training and Education Command, said.
TECOM is not identifying the woman, who has been given a new military occupational specialty, Pena told Marine Corps Times.

The woman began the 84-day course on July 6 and failed to complete two conditioning hikes on July 18, Pena said. Marines trying to complete the course may not fall out of more than one hike during the entire course.

A female lieutenant attempting the Infantry Officer Course in 2013 hangs during the obstacle course portion of the initial Combat Endurance Test at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Va.
A female Marine officer who was dropped from the Infantry Officer Course in April has failed the course on her second try.

The 30th woman to attempt the Marines' Infantry Officer Course has been dropped

She and 33 male officers, out of an initial class of 97 Marines, have failed to complete the course so far, Pena said. That class is slated to finish the course on Sept. 20.

The woman was dropped during her first attempt to get through IOC class on April 21 after 11 training days. At the time, she was the 30th woman to give it a try. Military.com first reported on Friday that she had failed the course again.

Like the other services, the Marine Corps has opened all jobs to women, but service leaders initially asked that some combat jobs remain restricted to men only. Defense Secretary Ashton Carter ultimately overruled the service.

I keep hearing them say they won't lower the requirements, but they will. Sooner or later, after enough people bitch about it, they will.

This is the whole thing with affirmative action policies. It doesnt do ANYONE any good to lower standards, to achieve feel-good representation. If there is concern that a group is not producing qualified candidates for certain things, then we need to address the reason WHY. Not simply say, "aww well, lets just lower our standards so we can let some of this group or that group in." It doesnt mean youre trying to keep anyone out. It means youre being fair.

But as usual the bleeding hearts are goin for that quick and easy social robin hood glory.

This can go two ways. Either admit that affirmative action can't be a blanket policy or lower the standards.

I know which one is the right thing to do.

I know which one they will do.

It will eventually lead to altering the requirements so it's still kind of hard, but the new requirements will allow weaker individuals to pass.

Women shouldn't even be in military combat roles tbh (though piloting is a reasonable exception). The fact we're even trying this shows how mad we've become as a civilisation. People in the armed forces ought to be pushed to the physical and mental limit, and that is lower in women than in men--end of story.

Put the bitches on the front line and let them feel equal.

Don't even make them pass a course.
