There hasn't been a decent video game release in a really long time. Quite depressing. No Man's Sky is absolute shit, as expected.

Dying Light, Metro: Last Light, FC: 4, GTA V, and Shadows of Mordor all came out in the past couple of years and were amazing.

BF1 looks nice, but im not very keen on the WW1 technology wise. Only games im hyped for in 2016 are Civ6 and Mafia 3, doe the latter is created by a new developer.

Hitman (2016) is really good.

Looks dope AF though. I've probably watched ~2 hours worth of gameplay footage and I'm getting it for sure. Will need to upgrade my computer to play it.

Not sure what you consider a "decent" video game or a really long time but I've recently finished playing The Witcher 3, was very enjoyable.

Witcher 3 was great. I was exaggerating with the "really long time" but it's certainly felt that way for me. GTA V and Witcher 3 are the latest AAA titles I've enjoyed.

I never played Deus Ex. I might go back and try those games before deciding on whether to get the new one. I am a sucker for RPG's with good storytelling.

Played Mafia 2? The story is 9.5/10.

I agree that there haven't been any AAA titles in 2016 that have transcendingly good. Although I'd recommend Inside, a similar game to Limbo, if you're looking for a great game to pass an afternoon or evening.

Supposedly FFXV is finally supposed to come out this November.

Overwatch has been a huge blockbuster title this year. If you are asking what the teenagers are hyped up about, this is it.

Uncharted 4 is the other big game so far in terms of recognition.

It hasn't been the greatest year but most big titles tend to drop in fall.

I don't really agree with this, but okay. I have had periods though where I thought that current games were disappointing, when that is the case I usually just buy a few classics from Steam or Origin and play those. I usually don't care about graphics, if a game has good story, good gameplay, and takes longer than 10 hours to complete, I'm game.

I really like long single player campaigns with big stories. No matter what genre and no matter how old.

I read an article on No Man's Sky. Sounds interesting, but apparently there was supposed to be a lot more to the game that they didn't follow through on, as far as gameplay, competition goes. They'd have done well to make it more like World of Warcraft than some postmodern experiment where it's like "see? nothing ever happens, just like life. get it?"
