For the few who watch the full game and not just highlights, the scores are alot closer then the game. France was never really going to win the game, they hit 2 meaningless 3 pointers at the end of the game.

Australia just played better then people expected, lead at halftime, were NEVER really going to win.

USA plays Spain in the championship and destroys them for Gold.

Keeping it close, playing from behind when it really counts, only looks good on paper.

Nah... it's true that they probably weren't going to lose, but it's not like the US were firmly in control. I think people are saying that's what the game signifies. If someone dribbles the ball off their foot in the clutch and they make some threes, or say Klay doesn't get hot from 3, the US might lose. They are not leaving much room for error.
