.
The 538 list simply looks at role player production and equates that with "talent", when having great teamwork and being a great TEAM helps role player production more than anything.. The 538 list doesn't consider teamwork.

Accordingly, the 538 list is garbage and you shouldn't pay attention to it, even though it shows that Jordan won with weaker supporting casts (91', 93') than Lebron ever won with (12', 13', 16')..

Indeed, even the flawed 538 list shows that Jordan won with less, which explains why his first 3 rings required (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=416369) 30% more scoring and greater assists than Lebron's 3 rings.

Well no Shit! Chemistry/Teamwork is a huge contributor to a teams success! But to act like MJ didn't have 3 out of the 8 best supporting casts ever is just plain D!ck ridding!

Jordan had 3 out of the 8 best supporting casts, meanwhile LeBron had 3 out of the 5 worst supporting casts in the Finals

Thats the key explanation for their finals records.

I only state facts! MJ had the most stacked team in the history of the NBA, hence the reason why he went 6/6. Nobody takes away from him being the GOAT, but this parasite named 3ball claims that he did it single handedly with a bunch of chumps and a lousy coach.

Exactly - that's why the list is garbage.. A list that ranks supporting casts isn't viable if it doesn't consider teamwork, since teamwork is the factor affecting a supporting cast's production more than anything else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since the 538 list doesn't consider the most important factor affecting supporting cast production (teamwork), it's a garbage list and you shouldn't pay attention to it.... even though the list shows that Jordan won with weaker supporting casts (91', 93') than Lebron ever won with (12', 13', 16')..

Indeed, even the flawed 538 list shows that Jordan won with less, which explains why his first 3 rings required (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=416369) 30% more scoring and greater assists than Lebron's 3 rings.

Ok, so you are saying that the only reason MJ's teams are at the top is because they had great teamwork and NO talent?

Wait 3ball, where does it rank lebrons 2016 supporting cast?

LeBrons 2016 supporting cast was statistically lower than Jordans 1991 and 1993 casts

Indeed. But according to him, everything in the article is flawed! except of course, the fact that MJ won titles with a inferior cast.

I wouldn't say "NO" talent - I would say Jordan won with LESS supporting talent than other greats had.. Just ask yourself - can Paxson or Kerr do this?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4u_Cn3N1K0

The reality is that Paxson and Kerr had far less talent than Chalmers, JR Smith or Ray Allen, but the Bulls had far greater TEAMWORK - unfortunately, the 538 list doesn't consider teamwork, even though it's the biggest factor affecting supporting cast production.

Regardless of this fatal flaw, the list still shows that Jordan won with weaker supporting casts (91', 93') than Lebron ever won with (12', 13', 16').. This shouldn't be surprising, since we already know that Jordan's first 3 rings required (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=416369) 30% more scoring and greater assists than Lebron's 3 rings.

A dunk? No. Can Chalmers do this?

I don't care what your argument is, Kerr>>>>>>>>>>>Chalmers.

LeBrons 2016 supporting cast was statistically lower than Jordans 1991

Jordan's cast wasn't even as good as Magic's in 1991 - here's their supporting casts after Magic/Worthy and MJ/Pippen:

.........................RS and Finals......................................RS and Finals

Sam Perkins........14/7 and 17/8 ...........Horace Grant.......13/8 and 15/8

Vlade Divac ........11/8 and 18/9............ John Paxson........ 9/2 and 13/2

AC Green............. 9/6 and 6/6.............. Cartwright.......... 9/5 and 9/6

Byron Scott......... 15/4 and 6/3............. Armstrong........... 9/3 and 2/1

Lakers had better talent, but when you have the GOAT, you don't need nearly as much help..

LeBrons 2016 supporting cast was statistically lower than Jordans 1993

In 1993, Pippen, Grant, and Armstrong were the only players who played more than 20 MPG and averaged over 6 PPG:

.....................PPG.......MPG

Pippen............18.6...... 38.6
Grant.............13.2....... 35.6
Armstrong.......12.3.......30.4
Cartwright........5.6....... 19.9
S Williams........5.9........19.3
Paxson............ 4.2........17.5
R McCray......... 3.5........15.9
S King............. 5.4....... 13.9
W Perdue......... 4.7........13.9
T Tucker.......... 5.2........13.2
D Walker......... 2.6........13.1

As you can see, the #4 thru #12 guys all played LESS than 20 mpg and averaged less than 6 ppg - the Bulls had the worst #4 thru #12 talent in the league.

Wait, where does it rank Lebron's 2016 cast?

It doesn't have to - Kyrie only averaged 1 ppg less than Lebron, whereas Pippen never got within 10 ppg of Jordan in the Finals, so we already know Lebron got more help than Jordan ever did.

Heck, the Cavs were so stacked that they won without playing to full capacity - Love was all-nba in 2014, but was reduced to a 9 ppg nobody in the Finals.. Jordan couldn't afford to have teammates to be reduced like that - he was already carrying the GOAT load as it was.
