Nothing short of a Kings championship will top LeBron coming back from 3-1 down putting up 30/11/9/2.3/2.6 on 49.4% to beat a 73 win team, putting up 36/12/10/3/3 on 51% in the last 3 elimination games

Kodak MOMENT.

it has to be 81 pts or 2011 finals, never thought some1 would ever outchoke wilt

Kobe already did that the same playoffs by getting swept by the same mavs and getting wrecked by 36 in the final game! :lebronamazed:

These finals were amazing. It's the kind of the thing we're going to be talking about for decades.

The 1998, 2003, and 2006 playoff runs were fun. The 2004 was awesome. Lots of good basketball.

I honestly think this will go down as the best finals series of all time and best performance all time by a landslide.

It's almost surreal. Sometimes you have to pinch yourself and wonder if it really happened?

Pretty sure that title is reserved for the Spurs taking the Heat wanna-be superteam to the woodshed and dismantling them in 2014 with the greatest sustained passing display in a series the game has ever seen.

Which I'm sure you appreciate considering it led LeBald back to Cleveland.

The heat in 2012 were bad. The lakers in 2002 were great. But yeah, the spurs were devastating over the final 3 games.

My favorite moment as a Nets fan was winning Game 5 in Detroit in '04, and that is still quite possibly my favorite single game of all-time. Especially when you recognize how (rightfully) praised that Pistons team still is. They took us lightly after jumping out to an early lead, and we pushed them up against the wall more than even the Carlisle Pacers and stacked Lakers did.

May not be the "peak" since we haven't won an NBA chip, but it sticks out the most.

For me it was scuzzy's first post.
Jordan's 3 plays to win the 98 title on his way out felt like a dream.

I was a kid and my father was stationed in Europe so we couldn't watch the games live.
So we'd record them. And watch the vhs in the morning for a few minutes before school and definitely after I got back.

I really thought they'd lose that series. I had feeling Utah would spank them. They played the Bulls virtually even the previous seSon and now we're even better while the Bulls were beaten, fatigued and tired.

The finish. The whole sequence. Costas providing the most eloquent of commentary.
It's was nearly perfect.

This year's last 3 games played out similarly. It felt surreal. I'm still not sure how lebron managed to do it. It was more than sweet. Everyone who ever dared to criticise him had pie in their faces, in the worst way.
You could not have scripted 2016 to be any better than it went down.

Spurs beating the defending champion Detroit Pistons in a 7 game series to win their 3rd championship was my highest point so far (followed by the championship in 2014). Was the first championship post-David Robinson's retirement and Manu Ginobili totally broke out as an AS that year. I was 1 year out of HS and it was my first year doing fantasy basketball (been doing it since) and it re-invigorated my love for the NBA as a whole.

Hard to remember

The first round of the 2009 Playoffs during Derrick Rose's rookie year was amazing, specifically the Bulls-Celtics series. Rose put on a show for the ages, Rondo almost averaged a triple double, just about every game went to OT with some going to Double or Triple, Ray Allen and Ben Gordon had an absolute shoot-out with Ray dropping 51. I don't think I've been more completely thrilled by an entire series before or after that

Yeah that series was incredible. It wasn't just that the games were going to overtime but the sheer number of clutch game tying or game winning jumpers. All classic shots. In the same series.

There must have been atleast 4 Ray Allen game tying threes in that series.

Kyrie hitting that 3 and Curry missing on the other end was the most relief and excitement I've ever felt during an Nba game.

Probably one of my favorite D-Rose highlights of all time

Good times

The 2013 Finals were also really good. Not as entertaining as the Bulls-Celtics series to me but definitely fun to watch. Same for the Warriors/Thunder series this year

The recent Finals had a great narrative with the comeback and all, but Curry never really showed up nor did Thompson really, so it cheapened the excitement we could've gotten had we got dominant performances from both the top players in the League. Still a good series, though, with a storybook ending and some amazing moments (A couple of Lebrons blocks, Kyrie's shot, etc)

The entire 2012 postseason was just insane. LeBron was still ring-less and everything he did was put under the microscope for the second year in a row. Watching him fail to win it all again was all anyone seemed to cared about, to be honest. As a fan, you felt the pressure yourself. And so many times that postseason it seemed like haters' wishes would come true too. Miami trailed in every series from the 2nd round onwards that year, facing one must-win game after another while giddily counted out by everyone each time. To see them come back each time, with LeBron having one transcended performance after another in those games, was incredible. Particularly Game 6 against Boston, because the entire country rejoiced like no tomorrow after Boston won Game 5. Everybody thought it was over. Every basketball forum on the net was just a giddy hate-fest against LeBron. I believe the 2012 ECF series thread is still ISH's biggest playoff one here. As a fan, to see LeBron win it all despite all that is a feeling that will never be matched again. His other championship runs were emotional roller coasters in their own right, but nothing will match the '12 run if simply because he was till ring-less. There was just so much more on the line because of that.

I actually admit to being an NBA fan since my original state/city doesn't have a team (and no, I'm not from San Diego... lived here for a year)

But at least I don't pretend to be a fan of the Warriors and then only prop up Kobe/Curry while diminishing any player who played with them.

Somewhere in the '09 playoff run. Melo's buzzer beater vs Dallas maybe. Dallas was trying to foul but the refs didn't call it so was even more surprising. The 50+ win vs NOLA and just destroying Chris Paul to a degree that's pretty rare for superstars.

Winning game 4 of the WCF and tying the series is probably the best. Nuggets had some hilariously bad turnovers down the stretch of the first few games, including that inbound one that was awful. Games 1/2/3 were all really close with L.A winning 2 and Denver 1 than game 4 Nuggets came out and beat them handily with a great finish. Melo played like dogshit in game 4 too and Denver still won. Assumed the momentum had swung and deep down was penciling in the finals. Wasn't worried about the Magic or anybody out East so probably the closest I'll ever come to thinking Denver has a chance at a ring.

George Karl just knew how to shut CP3 down. That was Dahntay Jones coming out party. He played elite D on CP3 and Karl had K-Mart coming over to help and be physical with Paul on top of Billups stellar D. K-Mart locked up D.West as well.

That Nuggets team just had no basketball IQ/struggled with chemistry. Billups "effect" just made them smarter, good leadership, and had a calming effect on the team.

Best moments as a fan of basketball, watching the games live, in chronological order:

1. 1992 Dream Team annihilates the competition. Forgot the opponent but Magic was driving the ball to the hoop, but decided to pass it back to a trailing Robinson. He wasn't ready and the ball sailed through hus hands. Jordan jumps out of bounds to save it, throwing the ball behind his back to a wide open Bird in the corner, who nails the three. :biggums:

2. 1994 Finals. New York. Hakeem Olajuwon takes Ewing off the dribble. But spun back to the hoop, losing Ewing and dunking wide open. :oldlol:

3. 1998 Finals. Was watching with a bunch of rowdy hoophiles at this legendary sports restaurant. Jordan hits game winner. Entire restaurant goes ghostly silent. :kobe:

4. 2002 West Conference Finals. Sacramento. Kings choke, Stojakovic airballed a wide open 3 in overtime. Best friend died on the spot.

5. 2006. Some nondescript game in January. Was meeting a couple at this new restaurant. While the couple was late, Kobe goes off for 81. :lebronamazed:

6. 2014 Finals. Best friend (resurrected) narrated Game 5 for me via text while I took pops to LACMA on Father's day.

From the 92-93 season to the 94-95 season. Orlando had drafted Shaq, then Webber for Penny, and then picked up Horace Grant in 94-95.

When Nick Anderson picked MJ's pocket and sent the Bulls packing in the playoffs in that 94-95 season and lifted HoGrant on their shoulders for the victory celebration in the series clincher.

Horace Grant tearing his elbow in game 1 against the 72W Bulls the next season was the beginning of the end for the Magic.
