I'm sorry but your baseless opinions mean nothing.

SCIENCE and FACTS shows 6 straight championships.

congrats...really want to get down there for a visit.

Australia and Canada own 6 of the top 7 spots, should be a study in government for the people.

How the **** do you 'rank' a city?

Melbourne sucks. It's probably one of the last places I'd want to be here,

Probably based on crime rate & average incomes.

Thats it? Two lousy criteria? Your standards for evaluating a city is beyond wtf

American global human resources and related financial services consulting firm Mercer annually releases its Mercer Quality of Living Survey, comparing 221 cities based on 39 criteria. New York City is given a baseline score of 100 and other cities are rated in comparison. Important criteria are safety, education, hygiene, health care, culture, environment, recreation, political-economic stability, public transport and access to goods and services. The list is intended to help multinational companies decide where to open offices or plants, and how much to pay employees.

The description is not for the same organization as in OP's article, but still gives a general idea how evaluating works.

I guess that's what I would personally rank a city, because that's what's most important to me. Keeping my family safe & making as much money as possible. :lol

While I agree, it's better than a lot of cities in the US.

Screw Hook turns though.

Australia is a nanny state actually.

So if you follow all the rules, there is a chance you should have a good life, with mild irritable moments.

Not my ideal scenario, but I have a great life so I can't complain.

Melbourne is a great city, slowly losing itself to foreigners.

Love Melbourne, dislike the ethnicity.

Melbourne should never be up there based just on the weather alone

Great city but nowhere near number 1

The weather is warm in summer and cool in Winter lol

It can be 4 seasons in a day occasionally, but it's not like it snows.

I find the cooler weather appealing.
