Don't see any current players capable of being as dominant and good as Lebron.

We had people saying just a few months ago Curry was better than LeBron ever was, so you'll see, soon enough people will start saying that about another player in the next few seasons

Honestly if Curry kept his RS form into PS, he would have been it. That was the most dominant I had seen someone play since Shaq 15 years ago, it was a freak show. So if he can't do it, no one now. Westbrook is too stupid to get that good, Durant too much of a beta, & Kawhi is overrated as **** while simultaneously being a top 5 (the 5th best) in the NBA.

As for the youngsters, ehh.. who knows? Towns looks to be the best prospect, but I doubt he can get that far since it's too early to say. Maybe we can talk about him in 2-3 years.

Curry in 2016 before his MCL injury was easily the superior player

3 Reasons Why Stephen Curry Had The Best NBA Season Ever

Actually, there are more

No voters — in the sports media or otherwise — could screw this one up. On Tuesday, Stephen Curry became the first unanimous MVP in NBA history, as a panel of 130 sports writers and broadcasters, plus a fan vote, all awarded him first place votes. It’s a fitting honor for the player who turned in the best season the NBA has ever seen. Need reasons to back up this claim up? Like Curry, we’ll shoot for three:

1. Curry became the first player, at any position, to average at least 30 points per game (he finished with an NBA best 30.1) while playing less than 35 minutes per game. His Warriors were so good, Curry could afford to sit out at the end of many. So compare this production to Wilt Chamerlain’s 1961-1962 season, in which the Philadelphia Warriors center averaged 50.4 points. That season, Chamberlain averaged incredible 48.5 minutes per game. So on a per-36 minute basis, Chamberlain averaged 37.4 points, while Curry clocked in at 31.5. Advantage, Wilt? Consider: Wilt was nicknamed “the Stilt.” He was 7’1″, competing against the smaller, less athletic players of that era. Not to diminish Chamberlain’s greatness, but the game was just easier for him. Curry is 6’3″, willowy and not exceptionally fast. Accounting for degree of difficulty, Curry’s haul is more impressive.

2. No one has ever shot the ball better. Curry made 402 three-pointers during the regular season, breaking the record he set last year — 286 threes — by 41%. So imagine that after setting the new home run record of 73 in 2001, Barry Bonds returned the next year and blasted 41% more, or 103. Without any steroid suspicions. Curry’s 2015-2016 “true shooting percentage” — an efficiency measure that takes into account free throws, two-pointers and three-pointers — of 67% is an all-time best for a league-leading scorer.

3. He’s the MVP of a team that won a league-record 73 regular season games.

Let’s not kid ourselves. There are many other reasons Curry made basketball history this year. Such as:

After scoring 40 points against the New Orleans Pelicans on opening night, Curry dropped another 53 on New Orleans four nights later. (https://youtu.be/a9CKv5UMfJs)

Needing one more win to break the record for most regular season victories ever — 72, set by the 1995-1996 Chicago Bulls — Curry goes out and sinks 10 three-pointers. He finishes with 46 points, in 30 minutes, in Golden State’s 125-104 victory over Memphis: (https://youtu.be/woP5XqX7HUQ)

This shot, against the Oklahoma City Thunder in February. Curry’s record-tying 12th three-pointer of the night, taken from nearly half-court, well, just, because, capped off a 121-118 comeback overtime win for the Warriors. It may have been the most thrilling regular-season game ever. (https://youtu.be/gWP5d9lo5JQ)

And though the MVP ballot doesn’t account for the playoffs, we have to mention Monday night. Curry, who hadn’t played in two weeks due to a knee injury, scores 40 points off the bench — including an NBA-record 17 in overtime — to lead Golden State to a 132-125 Game 4 win over the Portland Trail Blazers. The Warriors are now one win away from advancing to the Western Conference finals. Curry’s best ever season is far from over. Don’t be stunned if it only gets better. (https://youtu.be/wn0rQGh5ego)

Next season when Curry is fully recovered from injury he is going to return to his position as the number 1 player in the league

Curry in 2016 before his MCL injury was easily the superior player

1 reason why Curry didn't have close to the best NBA season ever: his team lost in the finals and he choked.

Well stars that dominant come in decades (83 MJ, 92 Shaq, 03 Bron). Looks like weve skipped this decade 10's. Def noone in the league now and noone in college yet. You'll be able to tell by the time theyres another HS phenom

What level? Curry= a one dimensional shooter that is a liability when his shot isnt falling. Can he make up for it in rebounds, assists, blocks, nope nope nope.

MJ, Shaq, Bron were/are always dominant and affect the game in other ways whether their struggling in one area or another

It doesn't matter because his olympic teamates in Rio right now that make up for his lack in other areas

Take that away, he's just another Ray Allen in Seattle

There's going to be players with similar physical tools, but it could be a while before we see a player with those tools have Lebron's basketball IQ and acumen for the game. That's what separates him imo.

Statistically, raw talent or skill-wise?

How often to 6'8 genetic freaks of nature come into the league with the physical tools tvat he has?

So it's gonna be a while before we that raw talent combined with numbers.

However, if we're talking about skill wise, and what someone is able to do with the basketball, it shouldn't be too long. There are players at the same height that are surely more skilled than Lebron, but definitely don't have the physical traits.

I thought it was going to be Anthony Davis, but I think it has to be a guard type of player with SG/Wing attributes. KD is the closest in my opinion, because unlike curry, his game isn't too reliant on 1 thing. I don't see any truly transcendent talents on the horizon, but we'll see.

It's honestly ridiculous to compare Curry to LeBron. Not just in the "they're so different, apples and oranges" sense, but in terms of sheer greatness. Curry is a transcendental scorer, but he's also his team's biggest defensive liability at all times. It's not even close.

Lebron's literally a mold of 3-4 different top 10 players in a 6'8 260 pound body and then add on GOAT longevity onto it.

We wont see someone like that in our lifetimes atleast :lol

Lebron is undoubtedly a Top 10 all-time talent, possibly even Top 5 or higher depending on who you ask

While we may not see someone with lebrons physique and physical capabilities (For his size, he mixes things amazingly well), but as far as a player who accomplishes as much or more and is dominant, there will be more players like this. Especially with the way the game is constantly changing and training methods improve

Every era there are players no ones believes others will surpass, but then every following era someone either comes along that makes it debatable or it happens outright. We'll see
