Neither of them should be ahead of people like Mikan, Baylor, Moses Malone.

I've only watched AI and Barkley play in playoff reruns.
But achievement wise I think they are very similar, no?
1 MVP
1 Finals
Though I think Iverson has quite a few scoring titles.

iverson put up more shots, but charles was a MUCH more efficient scorer.
both were shaky on the defensive end.
charles was undersized as a PF, but it didn't hurt him too much. iverson was massively undersized as a SG, and it was a real problem sometimes.
iverson functioned best when he had a bunch of defensive and rebounding specialists around him. charles was able to thrive in more scenerios.
both were a bit volatile, but iverson was worse, causing a number of headaches for his teams.
charles was a commodity and teams wanted him until the day he retired. iverson was more of an experiment that didn't work out for a lot of teams. at the end of his career he bounced around between five teams in a three-year stretch, not counting europe.

This.
Never forget that laker team would have the perfect playoff finals record if not for iverson and his bunch of rejects. They even have tyrion lue to lock down iverson. But his greatness prevailed in that game. Putting a scratch on a historically unbeatable team is epic.

Yeah, I don't even have Iverson in my top 20. I was just never a big fan of AI and his game. High volume, inefficient and ball dominant style. His short height really affected him defensively. Of course people will point to his finals appearance but still.

All jokes aside, Iverson obviously isn't better than Barkley but he's a basketball legend.
The impact he had on the game on and especially off the court was tremendous.

Mikan wouldn't even make a fking nba roster after about 1959...just because you can name basketball players from 100 years ago doesn't make you a basketball aficionado buddy.
Mikan couldn't even play.

LMFAO...top 20? Iverson is probably barely top 40...he's probably not even top 50. This notion that he "carried" the Sixers to the finals is hilarious...it basically took the league screwing the Bucks and the Sixers tremendous defense (which he wasn't even a top 8 player as far as impact) that got them to the finals.
But...let's all completely overrate the player who averaged 32.9ppg on 30.0 shots in the 2001 playoffs...an amazing .480%ts.

Yeah, I was being a bit generous. He could easily be outside my top 30. But he does have an mvp and is one of the most dangerous/elite scorers to ever lace them up and that has to count for something.
