I thought it might be interesting to find out a little bit more about the older posters here that have careers, family, etc. to see what we may learn from their experiences. First up: Primetime

1. Explain exactly what it is you do for a living.

2. How did you get into this field?

3. Is there opportunity in your business for people who aren't artistic or IT experts?

4. How do you balance career and family?

5. What are your hobbies and interests?

6. What advice would you give your younger self?

I thought it might be interesting to find out a little bit more about the older posters here that have careers, family, etc. to see what we may learn from their experiences. First up: Primetime

1. Explain exactly what it is you do for a living.
I'm a video game dev, an artist to be exact. I create game characters and other art assets for video games.

2. How did you get into this field?
I have always been into art/drawing since I can remember. I was winning art contests at the age of 5. This has been my destiny for a very long time, I never really went through a phase of trying to figure out what I want to do for a living. So naturally after high school I went to art school.

3. Is there opportunity in your business for people who aren't artistic or IT experts?
Not many, there are 'game designers' which are people that just come up with the game ideas. There are also marketing people and business minds, but the bulk of every game studio is artists and programmers for the most part.

4. How do you balance career and family?
I don't know lol. It's simply hard as fck as you know. I don't really think nature intended for parents to have full time jobs. I have a toddler and an infant right now, I can't even find time to sleep. If you ever see me in here posting past midnight, it's because the baby has me up and I'm posting in here to keep myself from going insane.

5. What are your hobbies and interests?
Watching sports. I've recently gotten into graphic novels/comics. I am toying with the idea of jumping into that industry. It offers a whole lot more artist freedom. And I am getting to the point where I value that over money.

At this moment in my life, there isn't a lot of time for anything other than work/family though.

6. What advice would you give your younger self?
This is a no-brainer, I would definitely warn myself about alcohol. From the age of 15-30ish I drank and partied non stop. It got out of control to say the least. I've been thrown in jail many times, and there are many situations I can think of that should have had me killed. I've been in serious car wrecks, had gun incidents, bar brawls, etc. Driving drunk was the norm for me for me years, it's a miracle I only have 1 DUI. I was able to clean myself up, but I wish I had done so a lot sooner.

Very nice PT, didnt know all those things about ya. An informative and interesting look at the man behind the name!

Good stuff

A follow up question: Who and how did you pick your kids names? Dont have to say what they are ofc but did you pick, your wife, joint decision etc... And what made you decide on the ones you picked?

Alright, Rufus, I suppose Ill volunteer to go next. Ask away. Just go easy on me man :oldlol:

My first son's name is a family name of mine. I've known that if I ever had a son it would be his name for a long time.

My second son was more difficult, Me and my wife started by looking at lists. Top-100 popular baby names of 2015, and other lists. We narrowed it down to three names that we both liked that weren't too popular but at the same time weren't weird/bizarre names that no one has. Then after lots of back and forth we settled on one.

It's hard. Sometimes one of us would find a name we like, but the other went to high school with someone who had the name and it was "we can't name him that it reminds me of this one d-bag I know".

PT you still believe male teachers are pedos?
Not ALL of them obviously...If I had to *guess* I would say maybe 20% of male preschool and elementary teachers are. Not High School.

PLENTY of evidence out there showing that pedophiles typically choose occupations that deal with children. This isn't something I just dreamed up. ALL occupations dealing with children too...priest, cub scout leader, day care worker, etc, etc. It's rarely ever women, almost always men. Just recently there was a massive pedo bust at Disney World, like 30+ men were arrested. And not long ago there was a male elementary teacher who was caught feeding his students his own semen spread out on graham crackers.

I'm sure there are millions of male elementary teachers out there who are perfectly fine (you are one?). I'm sure most priests are fine too. But once you are a parent you have to be aware of reality and if that means offending some people then oh well.

So you have moderated your stance a bit, but it seems like for some reason you still give women a free pass, there have been many women rapist cases and they continue to grow but the whole "niceeeeeeee" thing makes it okay in people's view. I'm not a school teacher though, just remember your ridiculous claim in the other thread.

This has always been my stance.

The women you are talking about are like high school teachers fcking some high school jock. I'm talking about elementary school kids, where the men make up the VAST majority of offenders, it's well over 90%

HERE YOU GO (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/07/15/disney-employees-child-sex-charges_n_5587395.html)

At least 35 Disney employees in and around Florida have been arrested and accused of sex crimes involving children since 2006, CNN reports as part of a six-month investigation. So far, 32 of those cases have resulted in convictions.

“Wherever you find children, you’ll find sexual predators that want to be there,” said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd. The report reveals an urgent problem plaguing our theme parks.

guess how many of those Disney workers arrested were female?...none

~primetime~
08-24-2016, 12:13 PM
Working with children is the ONLY way that pedos can be around kids without it looking bad.

Think of it like this, let's say it was illegal for hetero men to come into contact with females, with the exception of yoga instructors. You can bet your ass that every hetero male in the country would have a doctorate in yoga if that were the case. And that is basically the situation for pedos, they can't be around kids, UNLESS they work with kids. Sexual attraction is very powerful, it has huge amounts of influence on what we do.

Greg Simkins is probably my favorite artist right now, if he counts. He started as a graffiti guy, and his work is very graffiti inspired.

^^^ his surrealism stuff

I've actually been trying to acquire one of his paintings, I feel like he is leading a movement and that eventually his paintings will sky rocket in price, but that might be years from now. Right now you can get one of his medium sized paintings for around $15K...his larger stuff goes for $30K-$40K. I think his stuff could easily get up in the $500K range years down the road, it's a long term investment.

Yep. He is dope. That piece at the end is naaaaassssssttyyyyyy

You know how it is , his paintings won't sky rocket unless there are lots and lots of biters , his style is dope, but not revolutionary. And or he dies.

And I was gonna slay your hillbilly ass about your youngest son and our original original beef with ap whipping his son , but I don't wanna rub it in, cus I know NOW you KNOW how terrible it would be to whip your son (after you lifted and got to ap's stength) with a damn stick repeatedly in a few months and shove leaves in his mouth like a slave.

And nothing in comparison to hitting another adult that hit you and lunged at you.

I love art, music (24 years scratching records) and am a (shitty) old School writer. I can't do pieces but can bust a 1 color throwie in 10 seconds.

I respect artists almost more than anyone else. Shit boggles my mind.

Simkins is somewhat revolutionary, he isn't the first guy to do surrealism, but surrealism is making a big comeback as well as the graffiti movement, and he is kinda blending the two. His stuff is original IMO.

His shows sell out right away, his stuff is sought after. But yeah he might have to die before it skyrockets.

I don't have old man extreme racist/sexist views or anything like that.

Never thought this day would come.:oldlol:

Your arguing manner has changed of late. I'm not saying you've softened, but you seem to have a more open debate style. I'm guessing it's a byproduct of having more positivity in your personal life.

you're probably right

You can have this, but that's it.

I'm not a fan of posting pics in here, had an incident with a poster in here in the past (Jabes) that threatened my work because I got a little too personal in here.

He's mid-30s. No idea how old he is in that pic but those are old pics of everyone. That comp of everyone is probably 7-8 years old. Not too many of those guys are still around posting today.

I just found out recently about hyperrealitic sculptures...which are amazing.
These are so freaky to see live.

That picture takes me back. If I'm not mistaken there were a few more with more ISHers.

I want to see them, badly.

It's not the kind of art you would want in your home, but would be super cool to see in a museum.
