*15 Warriors: Didn't play a healthy team all postseason, and played a Cavs team missing two of their three best players.

*02 Lakers: Took blatant ref rigging for them to even get Finals. Tainted championship.

At least warriors won fairly, injuries are kind of part of the game even if it sucks. Ref rigging though is way different. That three peat is a joke 2000 and 2002 WCFs were both rigged.

Kyrie was a huge loss for Cleveland in 2015. However Kevin Love missing in 2015 was not as big of a hindrance as some would think

If you remember, while both teams were at full strength, Cleveland got blown out twice in a row in games 1 and 2. The first turn of the tide was in game 3 where Cleveland secured their first win, without Kevin Love playing a single minute (Game 3 of the 2016 Finals (http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201606080CLE.html))

Kevin Love also facilitated the Cavaliers huge lead in the elimination game 6 when he sat on the bench. Kevin Love went out with 11 minutes left in the first quarter and the Warriors were held to their lowest scoring quarter of the entire playoff (Game 6 of the 2016 Finals (http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201606160CLE.html))

At the end of the 2016 Finals, Kevin Love averaged only 8 points a game on 47% True Shooting (Statistics of the 2016 Finals (http://www.basketball-reference.com/playoffs/2016-nba-finals-cavaliers-vs-warriors.html)). And these numbers were also boosted due to the fact that Draymond Green and Andrew Bogut were out of commission due to suspension and injury.

Basketball is a game of matchups and Kevin Love has proven himself to not be effective against the matchups that a healthy Golden State team produces.

So due to the ineffectiveness of Kevin Love against Golden State due to matchup problems, Golden State of 2016 was more depleted than the Cleveland team of 2015. (Golden State's best player was compromised. Golden State's best defender missed a crucial close out game. Golden State's rim protector missed 1 and a half games. Golden State's best perimeter defender and previous year's FMVP was extremely disabled for at least one game, more likely two.)

That's one hell of an asterisk right there.

2002 Lakers.
While 2016 proved the Warriors wouldn't have won in 2015 if just Kyrie could've played, at least the won fairly.
The lakers was the biggest rigjob in NBA history.

lol, game 5 in the SAC/LA series was equally "rigged" for Sacramento as it was for LA in game 6.

Then, the Kings lost game 7 at home in OT in a completely fairly officiated game.

Compare this to the '15 Warriors who faced teams with injured key players in EVERY round? It's not even close. :oldlol:

*16 Cavs
Warriors were up 3-1 before lesilver and injuries derailed the Warriors. Draymond getting suspended in game 5. Bogut going down in game 5. Iggy's back giving out in game 6. Curry marred in foul trouble and fouled out in game 6 also got 3 fouls in the first half of game 7.

16 Cavs also literally got a free ride to the finals while the Wariors reward for winning 73 games was having to kill themselves just getting to the finals because they had to play a stacked Thunder team while the Cavs cruised. Cavs also played a Raptors team without Jonas Valanuchias who had been the best player on the Raptors in the playoffs and got to avoid a Heat team which was derailed by Whiteside and Bosh going down.

both are the 2 flukiest titles no doubt.

Really on the fence here man. Maybe warriors. Cuz they went through the whole playoffs vs teams with significant injuries. Whereas the Lakers had one rigged series.

a case could be made if the cavs dominated the Warriors, but they didn't. fact is the series went the full 7 games and the series was ultimately won in the final possessions. and on top, Cavs barely won despite Curry having one of his worst playoffs series of his career.

Disagree about the Warriors. They were not much better if at all in 2016 than 2015.

they were, by alot... I just recently looked at the Cavs performance that series, it was so dreadful outside of LeBron... but GSW wasnt that powerhouse yet. Couldnt take advantage. Cheap title. Klay then made the next step and Dray became a star.

thats with GSW not giving a damn and losing 2 home games in the final two weeks to the Celtics and T-Wolves, actually...

Cavs were at 65 win pace in 2015 after the trades and Bron's two week injury break, fyi.

not giving a damn, yet publically stated how they are chasing the record. K.

but yes, Warriors were better than they were the season before, as were the Cavs. healthy vs healthy, it can be a toss up either way but imo opinion, warriors are the better team. Curry doesnt lose his rhythm and conditioning basically missing the first 2 weeks of the playoffs and we'd all be singing a different tune.

how exactly were the Cavs better? Nothing indicates that... 65 win pace, 12-2 going into the finals with a depleted roster.... just nothing. Sorry.

because it was pretty clear lebron was coasting in the regular season and still won 67 games? because the core group has a year under their belt and built some chemistry? Because as a group they should be hungrier coming off a finals loss?

While for the warriors, they were chasing the bulls record.

all of that is vague.. bron was coasting just as much last year, and the chemistry was fine... plus they didnt win 67 lol wtf?

65 win pace after the trades/injury break... they were a better team, GSW was a worse one, its just obvious... accept it. If you really think about it, youd admit it too, youre not that dumb.

15 cavs > 16 cavs. It's a myth that cavs suddenly became some kind of machine. They were dealing in 15 before Love and Irving got hurt. I forget the numbers, but they were on pace to explode and than the injuries hit. 16 cavs switched coaches, and their defense was hot garbage until game 3 of the finals. My sure what the stats are, but they were probably one of the most mediocre defensive teams to win it all.
