33/11/8 on 50%

you gotta give Bird an extra point or two over his 80's stats because he would have teammates shooting 20 threes per game (spacing), as opposed to 0 threes per game (no spacing) that he was accustomed to.

and he wouldn't face hand-checking or anyone like Rodman or Mahorn

Let's predict op's Margin of time between going outside.

We have to add a few weeks because of aspberger's and because he doesn't have a job.

I'd say about 33/11/8

Who exactly is shooing all those 3's? Who is slowing down Dirk? Does Wade become the defacto PG? If so, how does that affect his aggressiveness as a scorer? Would Bird somehow correct the Heat's flawed defensive system?

How many of those points do you think were in the 4th quarter, you inbred fool? He also had a 12 point game in the same series :oldlol:

Yep. Miami in 5. Agreed.

Ignore the fact that it was a championship clinching game and tell me how many Finals games has LeBron won shooting 5/19?

Bird is replacing Dirk in this hypothetical - so Dirk's teammates would be shooting all the threes and providing spacing, which is something Bird's teammates didn't do in the 80's.

So Bird would higher stats due to teammates that shot 15-20 threes per game (spacing), compared to zero for his teammates in the early 80's (no spacing).

None, because Lebron never held his defensive assignment to 12 points below their average like Jordan did in that game.

Jordan's minus-12 defense on his man explains why the Bulls WON by 12, since everyone else let their man go off - Pippen let Schrempf get 23 points on 59%, Rodman let Kemp get 18/10 on 47%, and Harper let Payton get 21 points on 70%.. Only Jordan locked his man down (Hawkins had 4 points on 1-5, compared to his 16 ppg average in RS and playoffs).

Jordan's lockdown defense, and team-leading 22/9/7 is why the Bulls won Game 6 of the 1996 Finals.. Overall, Jordan didn't let Magic or Drexler win FMVP, whereas Lebron lets role players double their scoring average and win FMVP.

My bad, I automatically assumed you meant if Bird replaced Lebron. :oldlol:

You threw me a curve ball there.

Agreed.

Since you're a stat nerd, who doesn't watch games, stats agree with you as well, regarding G6 of the '96 Finals.

MJ - 110 ORtg and 93 DRtg
Pippen - 114 ORtg and 87 DRtg

LeBron would love to have the greatest perimeter defender on his team like Ordan did.

Rodman with 9/19/5/3/2 and a 84 DRtg...

Bird's a beast. It's surprising that people don't think he would be a beast in this era. What he had would translate anywhere except he might be in a bit better shape. Maybe his back wouldn't have gone out cuz he'd have better medical care.

I think he's an upgrade over Dirk. Who can argue that?
