What team was the most legitimate threat to Lebron's Final Appearance in the last 5-6 years?

It kinda feels like even the ECF became fodder to him in the last three years.

4-2 Raptors
4-0 Hawks
4-2 Pacers..

I think that the Indiana Pacers of the 2012-2013 Season were the most dangerous to him, with Hibbert, Stepenson and George before things went downhill.

Also the 2011-2012 Celtics obviously. But that was their last year together.

What team do you think can claim the top of the East from the Cavs in the near future?

If Kyrie repeats his playoff performance from last year, I don't see how the Cavs don't easily make the Finals the next 2-3 years. It'd take a regression from Kyrie, a steep decline from LeBron, or an injury to one of them for the Cavs not to reach the next couple of Finals

Honestly?

I dont' think any injury to anyone except lebron is going to be enough.
They practically destroyed the Hawks without K-love and without Kyrie playing half the games.

Boston is one piece away imo. Although, I wasn't a fan of the Horford signing. They have a nasty defense, top coach, and bunch of assets to get another star.

Toronto could be another tough out. But they played so bad in Cleveland it was really hard to see the Cavs ever losing the series. Plus, they hit a ton of contested shots in the games that they did win in Canada.

Don't sleep on Indy. They always give the Cavs a battle, and have an elite player in Paul George. George Hill being gone is huge though. That guy is a certified Cavs killer.

Jordan's biggest threats in the east were a poor man's Ray Allen, Knicks team that had a grocery bagger as the second option, and few years of Alonzo Mourning. He played a whole bunch of s.hit.

You're the one that got triggered to point of using personal insults. It must be tough knowing your idol dominated in a watered-down era. :lol

the Hawks just got dwight howard though ... their biggest disadvantage against LeBron and the Cavs has always been their softness at C , and inability to hang physically. They are always outweighed, but with howard coming back that is now nullified, and assuming he's healthy and has a bounce back year they wont be a push over. once upon a time Dwight took a 66 win bron squad out with turkeyglue and rashard lewis.. millsap, shroeder, bazemore arent bad as support.

Honestly,

A strong C seems to be the best way to stop Lebron.
Hibbert in his good years was actually a deterrent.

Does Dwight still have it in him?
I just don't see the Hawks having the scoring options to beat the cavs, you know?

Sure, Pass-Happy ball works in the regular season, but as we saw in the Playoffs when defenses tighten up, you need actual talent that's capable of scoring in tough situations.

That was the Hawk's undoing in the last two series against the cavs.

The 98 Pacers were legit. They took the Bulls to game 7 after winning 58 games that season and stomping through the first 2 rounds with 2 total losses.
