The league needs him. The Players' Association and Adam Silver are begging him to stay in the league, so the NBA can bask in some of his greatness and remain relevant. When his basketball career is finished his statue will replace the Statue of Liberty. He will then embark on his true purpose. He will usher in a new age for humanity. All of human history will pale in comparison to his accomplishments.
