Hidden gem in his centercourt post 60 point game speech
The right way: Crying as a rookie til you get on your desired stacked franchise. Then crying and threatening to leave til said franchise adds one of the best big men of this era.

Tried to run to Bulls, but Lakers wouldn't do the deal.
Pathetic. Why say these things, let your game be enough.

That's the problem.
We've seen Kobe's game when things get tough, his words are probably more effective, definitely more efficient.

He is right, instead of running away he stayed and raped a girl.
Besides...he ran Shaq out of town.

TBF to Kobe, he had one last opportunity to take a shot, verbal or not he was going to take it.
Good for him, he never get another chance like that.
kobe has always been so full of shit.
it's like he stays up in bed all night thinking of lies to say the next day.
he NEVER keeps it real.
kobe is like a black ryan lochte in twisting stories and making shit up for self promotion.

Lol. The Kobe hate is REAL.
20 year Laker and has his own holiday signed off by politicians and people of one of the most popular cities in the WORLD....
...Vouched for by the most popular/successful sports franchise in the world.....
...without taking a paycut.
I know that shit burns haters on the inside.

I didn't "respect" the way he plays basketball, therefore, he's a terrible worthless human being.

Nah, while Kobe is admittedly not that likeable, the reason he's so disliked on here is because of his idiotic stans

And by the way, how difficult is it to stay when you have arguably the most dominant player ever at his peak and the arguable GOAT coach? You guys can spin it anyway you want, at the first hint of adversity he faced in L.A. from '05-'07 he wanted to get traded. I can only imagine how long he'd have stayed in Cleveland :lol

I love how his fans try to play the loyalty card. He demanded a trade when things got too tough for him. And that is a fact.

I know, right? At least Lebron waited til he was a FA instead of gaming the system to force his way onto a blue blood franchise.

You a few years ago- "Kobe will never win without Shaq".
You after he wins without Shaq- "Pau Gasol=Shaq".
You now- "Kobe aint shit".
Lmao.
Its over for you guys. Kobe is a global icon who never took a paycut or shortcut his way to success. Hes arguably the most respected athlete in the history of Los Angeles.
Your hate wont stop, but respect his greatness. You have no choice at this stage homie.

Is this an actual quote? If so, Kobe is either a blatant liar or delusional as hell. :oldlol:
Haha Kobe, true but... kindof easy to say that now isnt it?
Kobe Bryant confirms he demanded trade in 2007 to the Chicago Bulls. (http://www.latimes.com/sports/lakers/lakersnow/la-sp-ln-kobe-bryant-wanted-trade-2007-chicago-bulls-20150223-story.html)
Kobe forced Shaq to leave (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shaq%E2%80%93Kobe_feud)
Very easy to say that when you get everything you want handed to you on a silverplate..... the supporting cast, the teammates you want or dont want (Shaq)...
If you didnt attempt to run and/or didnt cry (about Shaq, he could have stayed) then you could of had maybe 8 rings by now anyways.... also "the right way"...

A young Kobe forced the MOST DOMINANT PLAYER EVER out of L.A.?
:applause: :applause:
Kobe is now in my top 3
This tells me that the Lakers management believed that Kobe was just as vital to the Lakers success as Shaq was.
Strangely enough....this is a far cry from what the experts on insidehoops have been pedaling.
Not sure who to believe.

But wow....
A Kobe who had "minimal impact" on those 3 champiosnhip rings convinced the greatest sports franchise in the world to ride with him instead of Shaq...the MDE?
How did that work out?

Lol, Kobe obviously had impact on the 3peat teams, he was a top 10 player in '00 and top 3-5 player in '01 & '02, only trolls would completely diminish Kobe's value to those teams. Doesn't change the fact Shaq was still the best and most impactful player in the world '00-'02

Way to backpedal, young man. Take this as a learning experience.
Follow your own logic, watch basketball games and think for yourself so this doesn't have to happen again.
Celebrate Kobe day next year properly by showing some respect.

What's funny is Kobe getting sh^t for 'forcing' his way to the Lakers
But no one wants to talk about a player like Magic basically saying if the Lakers (With Kareem btw) didn't win the number 1 pick he'd stay in college. It was decided by a coin flip between LA and Chicago

I don't think anyone cares that much it's just ironic that Kobe fans cry so much about Lebron's "collusion" when their guy was at least equally guilty of gaming the system.

I don't think many knew about the Magic scenario until he talked about it while being interviewed during the 1991 Finals. It is a pretty shitty thing for him to say, kind of dumb actually but it showed that he didn't want to be part of building a contender.
One thing about Magic's situation which isn't nearly as bad as Kobe's rookie year, is that at least Magic was seen playing throughout the country and was playing against other very good to great college players before the draft. He was already proven.
Kobe was a nobody and wants to dictate who he plays for??? "don't draft me, cause I won't sign" WTF??? That's why the Nets, who wanted to draft Kobe 8th overall, didn't draft him cause Kobe's camp said he wouldn't sign.
Kobe though......how about you prove yourself, play out your rookie contract and become a free agent. Then you can sign with whoever you want, you spoiled punk!
Instead Kobe wanted to play for the 2nd most successful NBA franchise. He, like Magic, didn't want to try to build a contender....they wanted it easy right away.
