10-12 iphones in or more and it's about to be 2017 yet no waterproof or dust resistant? They just released a patent for upcoming ones. Meaning the iPhone 7 will luck out.

I got the Iphone SE which is just a 5 on steroids because the slim and smaller profile is what I like.

The 6 is still one of the greatest iphones but I like a smaller profile.

Best iphones:

Who in the right mind wants a water resistant phone? People talk about it like that is the main reason why they want it.

If its raining? Wait till you get cover.

Dropping in a toilet? Wait till you get done with whatever you're doing.

No water resistant, no wireless charging, no Samsung Pay and no microsd slot. You've been missing out alot. The water resistant is a great feature. My vacation pictures came out great during rainy weathers and underwater. Many coffee shops and McDonalds have wireless charging on the tables which is quite convenient without having to look for outlets. Samsung Pay, it's much safer to use than credit card these days and it works with many older payment terminals. At first I was skeptical about it but now I use it almost all the time. Microsd card is where I stored all my videos so I can watch it in the subway during my commute to work.

Had it for a while now. The charging station sits at my desk at work. It's probably the best feature on the planet.

I would agree. Many years of using smartphones and I have yet to experience any kind of water damage with all my phones. But on the other hand, I do know some very clumsy people who aren't as careful.

I'm going to need to switch back from IPhone to an Android when my contract is up. Although the IOS is good, but it's so boring and I can't do anything on it. I love the features on water resistant and wireless charging. I can't believe Apple isn't putting that on their next iphone. I feel like they can if they wanted to but they rather go slow and put little bit on every new iPhone that is coming out. Im losing faith on the iPhone because I feel like I have to wait for 2 or more years to get these features.

Why add it when you can put out a new phone, sell millions, and then promise the feature on the NEXT phone?

Perks of not owning an Apple... if my current phone sucks and there's others that are better, I just change to one of those. I'm not waiting for a 'new' feature.

I have lost several phones duck hunting. I'm on call 24/7, so even if I'm standing waist deep in water for hours, I still need quick access to my phone and be able to hear it. I used the zip lock baggie but it's a pain to use through the plastic, especially when you already have gloves on. Water resistant phones to me are a gawdsend.

Another rumor the 2017 iPhone will get rid of the touch bezel and implement a newer and improved touchID. I was going to jump ship and purchase the new iPhone 7.. But I'd rather wait for the 7s or a newer android. I hop on my S4 sometimes and do enjoy using it. It seems much faster than I had believed it to be. I enjoy using apps I can use without jailbreaking.

If android rids themselves of touchwiz and get a software like ios I'll stay with them.

Yes. Waterproof IS a must. It's 2016 dammit. That shit should be standard.

Give us removable batteries and SD cards. I don't want to pay to get my phone serviced to replace a battery. Let me do it myself.

I don't get the Apple hype. My whole family has iPhones except me. Yet they always comment on how they love the features and UI on my HTC. What's funny is that I can actually download features from the Apple UI and use them on my phone. I'm actually using the Windows 10 Theme, with Apple Icons, and the HTC Blink-feed, mixed with various Android features. Android is so customizable at this point I'm not sure why anyone would choose anything else.

iMessage bro.

i am tempted to revert back to android, but i text so much even for projects we work on, that I need a smooth text service.

Apple won't even let you put music from another computer on your phone... :oldlol:

They don't even have simple drag and drop. :oldlol:

I'm not even a hater. I'm typing this from an Apple Air laptop, but they are the least user friendly company out. Good on them for marketing their shit as elite, and a class above, and it paying off. The fact is, it clearly isn't. All their products have nice finishes and look extremely elegant though. Won't deny that.

I was a little hesitant to go back to a Samsung Phone but the S7 Edge is amazing. It's fast, fluid, great looking display, best camera, battery lasts forever, and the waterproofing is nice. I was using it in the jacuzzi today w/o being scared at all :lol. I remember a friend spilling their water all over our table and they went to grab their phone out of instinct, but I'm just sitting there w/ my phone still on the table not caring.

Apple Pay won't do you much good. You can only use it anywhere that has an NFC terminal. Samsung Pay you can use anywhere you can swipe your card, which is essentially 99.9% of places

If you have a fast wireless charger, it's pretty damn quick. Just like plugging into a wall on a regular charger

The fastest is the Fast Charger in the wall though. Gets from 20-80% in 30 mins

iMessage is Apple proprietary. If you are dependent on it, then it is what it is. But you are really missing so many good stuff. iPhone is a good product but they are very limited and is very far behind in adopting great features ( due to strategic reasons ). I was a former iPhone user myself too.

Yeah that's fine but still the biggest thing is it doesn't fall back to SMS. I have no ****ing clue why Android can't make an app that does this and instead created two new apps that still don't have that crucial feature.

I saw a video or an article about Android making their own version of "iMessage" through the SMS services. It's going to be the same concept around iMessage but still. It won't BE original.

I think we should stop putting the label "original". There are many things that iPhone copied from Android and vice versa. Split screen, larger size phone, google map, notifications, low power mode, Google voice search, widgets, pull down menu, etc, etc, etc.

Let's just stop with the perception of the idea that Apple innovates and others just copy.

well that video is wrong because they're releasing a messaging app that doesn't have an sms fallback, which is dumb. originality really doesn't matter.

While Touchwiz is still holding Samsung's ridiculous hardware back, it is not even close to being as bad as it was on the S4. I have it on the Note 4 and it's fine, and newer versions are mostly good from what I read.

I think if you're with iPhone for the iMessage, there's really no reason to switch. Android's alternatives are decent to good but not as great as iMessage. Though as the world gravitates towards Whatsapp and those types of apps, iMessage's superiority will start losing meaning.

Also yeah, lol at original. iOS 8 was great because it copied Android features that were present on Android phones 5 years ago.

Android is developed by Google and their business model is very different from Apple. Most of the Google's profit and revenue is from ads and selling user's info as whereas Apple is from it's hardware/software. I don't think Google is interested in Whatsapp and besides... it's already brought by Facebook.
Almost everyone I know uses Whatsapp due to that its device agnostic.
