LOL at Jack Haley. That's the GOAT bench warming cheerleader.

He was kept around there because they wanted someone to "babysit" Rodman, according to Tex Winter:oldlol:

Edit: I might be getting mixed up. I remember a scrub white bench player who was there because he was friend with Rodman. Not sure if it's the same guy here.

1988-89 is a run by MJ that gets overlooked because he didn't win it all. But when you consider the Bulls were the 6th seed (47-35) and beat:

3rd seed Cavaliers (57-25) - 1st round
2nd seed Knicks (52-30) - 2nd round

And gave 1st seed Detroit (63-19) so much trouble that they had to devise the Jordan Rules. It's impressive. His numbers in the playoffs that year:

(17 games): 34.8 PPG, 28.6 PER, 51% FG, 7.0 RPG, 7.6 APG, 2.5 SPG

I remember seeing this a few years ago.

Was shocked by the low view count.

Sick vid.

MJ's regular season numbers in 1988-89:

32.5 PPG, 31.1 PER, .538 FG%, 8.0 RPG, 8.0 APG, 2.9 SPG

Ridiculous.

To add to what ClipperRevival said, MJ also has 7 straight triple doubles when he switched to pg by Doug Collins and 10 in 11 games. For reference, it's still the nba record for most consecutive triple doubles IIRC and magic's career high is a streak of 4, about half.

Jesus Christ, MJ's numbers against the Cavs in that series:

39.8 PPG, .518 FG%, 5.8 RPG, 8.2 APG, 3.0 SPG

That's a bad man. And had 7 40+ games in 17 playoff games. LOL.

Regarding the post shot celebration:

1) I bet you a million bucks, Hamilton has a pic of him standing right next to MJ hanging somewhere in his home.

2) When his teammates are jumping up and down, they aren't teammates at that moment. They are just kids at heart thinking, "Michael, Michael."

Nesbie gave Jordan a pair of his air jordan shoes to sign for him when they were in the locker room. Jordan (this is documented in Michel Leahy (? )'s book about Jordan's 2002-2003 seasons with the bulls) looked at Nesbie and replied " No! these are STARTER shoes. You a bench player :coleman: "

I remember reading that and thinking that there's no bigger a-hole on the planet than Jordan but that it was funny :lol

Regarding your post, I'm positive most of them are thinking exactly as soon as he hit the shot. It's them thinking back to their childhood memories of watching him do that on TV, and now getting a chance to share the moment with him.

I know you are

Not very rare these days, but then again I've seen and collected just about all Jordan games/footage available out there.

Feeny, the guy who was told to "watch over Rodman" was in fact Jack Haley. RIP btw.

You're right. I just opened up Roland Landzby's "the last dance" . I didn't know that he passed away, though. Rip.

I remember him always on his feet cheering on during big moments. The comeback in game 6 of the 92 finals, the 21-28fg 53 point Jordan game against Detroit and Doug Collins in 96, and the 'con man' game in 97 against the Knicks, especially.

I've literally never seen a "fan" of a team suck off an opponent as much as OP does.

That's all they have. Dark memories of a style of game only one man wanted. Len Bias and the Celtics would have killed Micheal Jordan, at the root. David Stern knew it. That's why MJ is who he is now.

Nash would've played better defense than what MJ saw at 0:30 :lol

That being said, its been largely forgotten how good that cavs roster really was.

Ridiculous.

It's even crazier when you break it down by his role that year. Through the first half of the season, he was averaging 35/8/7/3+/1/55% FG/62% TS, and then in the last 20 games after being moved to PG, he averaged 31/9+/10+/50% FG. Ridiculous.

Is there any "rare" footage of "THE SHOT" that killed Ordan's father??

that's confidential, along with the sex video of Delonte West & Lebron's mom
