All three did it while being named to the NBA All-Defensive 1st Team :applause:

Michael Jordan 1988-89 32.5/8.0/8.0/2.9
Michael Jordan 1992-93 32.6/6.7/5.5/2.8
Scottie Pippen 1993-94 22.0/8.7/5.6/2.9
Larry Hughes 2004-05 22.0/6.3/4.7/2.9

If the numbers are lowered to 22/6/4.5/2.5, you can also add Drexler and George McGinnis, but without the NBA All-Defensive 1st Team honors.

Hughes had some very good years.

Loved him on the cavs even though his #'s went down.

He was one of those great 2-way players that are indispensable, or even priceless. If only his peak had lasted more than a couple of years

He played on a bad Wizards team that inflated his numbers, he came to Cleveland as not the first option because the Cavs were hoping for Michael Redd to come back to Ohio since he was from Ohio State to team up with LeBron. Except Redd took the money in Milwaukee and the rest his history.

The Wizards went 45-37 that year, they were 5th in the East, and made it to the 2nd round. I wouldn't call that a bad team.

Plus he was sharing the ball with Arenas (25.5 PPG) and Jamison (19.6 PPG) that year.

the steals qualifier is pretty dumb since it's a bad measure of defensive impact(yes ik Hughes made all defensive 1st team). Then again without it, there be like 10+ guys on this list.

It's actually pretty significant for this short list. Not only did MJ, Pippen, and Hughes put up those numbers and make 1st team def, but they all led the league in steals, either the same year (MJ, Hughes) or the year after (Scottie).

I disagree since steals isn't that useful for rating perimeter defenders. Some guys rack up steals by just gambling way too much.

Bad passes by their opponent helps a lot also. Probably lead to more easy steals than "great defense" being played.

True, however it is also an indication of good team defense.

Some guys also get family members killed and banned from the NBA for 1.5 seasons for doing the same thing.

Which brings even further reason why we signed him back then. Everyone always says, well they gave LeBron Larry Hughes! Because it looked like he was gonna be a breakout star.

The guy wasn't consistent consistently putting up those numbers.

Larry Hughes ruined Larry Hughes career. Super talented but had horrible shot selection and not a particularly good work ethic.

Larry Hughes. Is he going to remembered as a positive-impact player? I object. He was always garbage. You all act like he was Andre Iguodala.

bull

He was one of the better 2-way players we've had in the league.

His defense was way more than just steals BTW. He was a legit lock-down perimeter defender.
