Who makes the squad and which team is better? DPOY award supersedes the MVP in cases where players have won both...example MJ would fall into the DPOY team. 8-man rotation and to make it fair, we only use players since the 83 season (inception of DPOY award).

DPOY Team-
Olajuwon/Robinson
Garnett
Rodman/Leonard
MJ
Payton/Moncrief

MVP Team-
Shaq/Moses
Duncan
Lebron/Bird
Kobe
Magic/Curry

If a guy won both then you shouldn't include them. Or else it just becomes MVPs vs MVPs.

Anyways,

Shaq
Dirk/Bird
Durant
Curry
Nash

would be insane. Defense would be below average but their offense would be unstoppable no matter if you got DPOYs guarding them.

My reason behind that was that half the DPOY column is filled with defensive specialists...basically to even the field a bit, otherwise-

Throw in best all-non MVP/DPOY team and it even gets more interesting

That DPoY team look so BEAST! I don't know why but I tend to love defense more then offense, in any sport lmao

Seems strange that Duncan was never DPOY.
I'd go with the DPOY team tbh, as long as Robinson doesn't play minutes vs Shaq lol.
Curry vs Payton would be a great match-up.

I like the DPOY team. Rodman, Payton and Jordan are just brutal for a trio of defenders. There's also the fact that the DPOY has the GOAT scorer and one of the most gifted post players as well, so they aren't lacking for offense by any means
