Yea it's easy to play the 4 when you have a monster like Adams patrolling the rim. Who will they have now? Green? Their defense will suffer. Wait and see

KD is like 6'11" 235 with a 7'5" wingspan, athletic as f*ck, with great timing/instincts as a paint defender when he locks in. If Harrison Barnes can play PF in arguably the most dangerous lineup in the league, KD can too.

Iguadala played PF with the line up of death. KD can't patrol the rim, defend the perimeter, or chase blocks. Damn I can't wait till that beanpole gets torched.

No he didn't, and yes KD can. Did you watch the playoffs? KD's defense might've been the most impressive thing he did in the playoffs. It was Garnett like at times.

The biggest area that Barnes brought that KD can't replicate is low post defense. Barnes was deceptively strong on the block. He has way stronger of a base than KD and the fact his is lower makes it easier for him to hold position. In the 2015 playoffs Barnes was able to bother both Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol and not let them get into their comfort zones down low. Overall it isn't a huge deal since there has been a shift away from low post scoring over the past years but it still can be a problem against some matchups.

Even if the "line up of death" is position-less at times, Iguodala played small forwardish more than power forwardish. Iguodala wasn't guarding PF's and Centers on the block unless caught in switches. Iguodala is more like KD with his length, quickness, and explosiveness, but he does not the type of strength Draymond and Barnes have. Most of the time when Iguodala is defending the post he is getting backed down hard and fast he goes for an aggressive reach in. He is good at it but still not something he can go to every time.

It's as if you are describing Kevin Garnett

Cavs should match them by trading Love for Crowder + Bradley + picks. Cant wait for the rubber match next season

Kyrie
JR
Crowder
LeBron
Tristan

Vs

Curry
Klay
Iggy
Durant
Draymond

Battle of the death line-ups

kevin durant can work at the 4 in small ball lineups, situationally against some tweeners like draymond, like last year. This is the exception not the rule.

Durant is going to get his ***** drilled inside by guys like tt and love, it ain't gonna be pretty. Any BIG lineup is going to bleed the warriors dry, as draymond is the only legit rim protector ... a lebron/love/tt frontcourt will cream them on the glass which will result in foul trouble/fatigue and shots not falling. A tt putback over kd generates more action (points/fouls/pressure on defense/fatigue for defense) than a kd shooting a lightly contested 3.

Summer 2017 might eclipse this one in terms of salt, but for a betting man this is $$$.

and if (IF) that's the case, Iggy can still play PF in that lineup so idk what you're worried about :oldlol:

I dunno man. That Cavs lineup has some pretty bad spacing.
Especially considering JR's famous off/on switch that no one quite figured out yet. If he is cold, despite being an awesome shooter, they'll just clog the lane.

Love was amazing for them I think. If you look at the Plus Minus this guy sometimes have, you'll see that just being on the court helps them so much with that spacing, dragging big defenders out. Not to mention that love often gets hot in the 1st quarter, letting Lebron and Kyrie pick their spots in the 2nd quarter.

Underrated guy.

KD at the 4 brings makes their lineup dangerous where you have 4 guys that are 3 point shooters that will make them.

with their legs shot from competing with guys twice their girth.. they alredy went max smallball last year with draymond green as a 4/5, and he can actually shoot it, so KD won't give you THAT much more offense (only 1 ball after all) ... imo they risk playing dantoni basketball with guys not known for their health and a short bench.
