To explain a career 12 ppg drop-off from the RS to the Finals, that player is an overrated choker. There's context, and then there's fan fiction.

Any and every Wilt mention on this site provokes volumes of texts from "multiple posters" blaming teammates, coaches, other players, society, racism, venereal disease, the weather, physics, psychology, hot dog vendors, etc. for Wilt's routine under-performance in the playoffs.

He apparently owns all these records, and yet even Brickbe averages nearly 8 ppg more in the Finals than the alleged "all-timer." Regardless of the beautiful prose, no amount of sycophantic encyclopedia writing will ever change the fact that Wilt is the most overrated basketball player under pressure ever.

Bring on another Odyssey to explain the math away. :applause:

OP seems like he is really concerned with Wilt's status being higher than LeBron's on the ATG list. Agenda detected.

And your crap clearly belongs to fiction. Your own grasp of context is zero, like anyone's who thinks Wilt dropped his productivity by 12 ppg in the Finals. Ignore list, along with the rest of the junk.

There, less than 50 words. Happy now?

I'll help you with your "math."

If Chamberlain would have played in the Finals EVERY year in his career, and his Finals "drop" was at 12 ppg...you would have a point (but even then...CONTEXT is important.) HOWEVER, he "only" played in SIX, in his 14 season career...and only ONE in his "scoring" prime (which, BTW, came in a Finals in which he had a HIGHER ppg average against that same team, than he did against them in the regular season H2H's. Again...CONTEXT.)
