I give this thread 5 posts before this turns into Kobe VS lebron.

Ahem,
Anyways!

Favorite Signature move for me will have to be Dirk's fadeaway. Damn that jumper is satisfying to watch.

Honorble Mentions:
Lebron's Tomhawk slam (Jaw dropping)
Tim Duncan's bank shot (easy money right there)

The most devastating move in NBA history is MJ's turn-around, fadeway jumper from 15-18 feet at the ages of 32-35. It allowed the Bulls to 3 peat. MJ adjusted his game to a much more concentrated mid-range game and he still delivered. That is true GOAT impact.

Kevin McHale up and under. Ive watched a lot of old celtics game on video and I actually enjoyed watching McHale the most

Tim Duncan awkward looking bank shot

Kareem skyhook

My least favorite is the Curry 3 or the Harden drive and draw a foul

Underrated: Kobe's clutch-moment brick shot.

Arguably the most consistently performed signature move of any.

Almost 4 minutes worth of pure bricks. :lol

Could probably make a 6 minute one now, considering that video is 3 years old.

For the player playing now I like:

Steph curry's double behind the back crossover and mile high floaters off the glass. (Kyrie does this now too)

James Hardens rip through move (I can't stand him but that's just a smart move)

D'Angelo Russell sealing defender of the pick and roll (not new but not many players do that)

That's actually all I can think of. Kyrie does all these dribble moves but he does them too fast I can't make out what he's doing. I much prefer Steph's dribbling style.

No Barkley was past his prime and wasn't playing with someone like Westbrook.

Also you don't even have your years or circumstances correct. Seattle beat Houston in 1996 and Chuck didn't get there until 1997. That's not can't beat them, join them.

Durant wet the bed (purposely?) when he had GS on the ropes. Then joins them just 2 months later. Signing a deal with the most stacked team after a "we'll beat you anyway" sales pitch to "The Servant"

Thank you for enlightening me.
I didn't know that he spent an extra year in phoenix after the 2nd Houston chip.

And yes, Durant being in his prime and having a superstar does change things from other cases. But perhaps he just does not like playing with westbrook. Who knows.

Partial to Dirk's shot for obvious reasons.

Another signature move I like is Gervin's finger roll.

What KD did was a bitch made move, but the guy can flat out ball. Dude lead the league in scoring 5 times and he's still only 27. Might end up as one of the greatest scorers of all time.

IMO, he's one right now.

No one doubts that.
One of the most gifted scorers out there.
But if Kobe taught us anything is that scoring is not enough,
In fact he really only won (talking about the solo titles) when his scoring wasn't crazy. (RS)
I think that the fact he let those 4-5 points go to someone else on the team helped them find their rythem and confidence.

mj's "leapin' leaner" from the eighties... the name coined by announcers i suppose. old heads know. it was just as unstoppable as his fadeaway, maybe even moreso. gotta love the triple pump ones.

funny how it's the exact opposite of his signature fadeaway.

That's why it's bitch made. Because he can ball and should strive for greater things of himself then joining a 73 win team in order to win as easily as possible.

LeBron on the Heat, particularly his last 2 seasons there IIRC, kinda had a signature move in the ISO jab step, step back jumper from the elbow he used to do. He can't shoot anymore, so he doesn't do it as much, and even if he does he just bricks it now anyways.

Even better than that is his 360 dunk. It's in Bulls vs Blazers and the NBA playoffs for Sega Genisis therefore it's a legit signature move otherwise it wouldn't be in the ****ing game along with the Utep 2 step and larry bird base line fade away.
