Idiot.

Going to N. Korea is generally safe from what I've read but you just can't **** around when you there. It's not emphasized enough by the tour companies. Do as your told and shut the **** up.

Why the **** would you want to go to North Korea anyway? There is a big world to choose from and you pick North Korea?

Follow the rules. Don't break the law. Same here in the U.S...if you don't break the rules (unless your Hillary Clinton) than you don't have to worry.

The only reason to go is for bragging rights and attention.

Totalitarian country propping up a mortal far above what's necessary.

Irregardless, never steal another's property unjustly.

Ever.

Although 15 years is obviously excessive for such a crime, people shouldn't do retarded things in unfamiliar countries

So we not gonna do anything?

This is what happens to our citizens on foreign soil when our president shows he is willing to negotiate with terrorists and pay ransom fees. North Korea imprisoned this boy and are hoping to receive a big ransom fee from the US government.

I'm happy with the situation as it is tbh. :lol

He's still a kid. Plenty of mistakes I made at 21 that I wouldn't turning 24. His decision was terrible, but life is about taking risks regardless of the reward at certain ages to live and experience. As long as there wasn't any true harm to another being, and while he knew the only one getting harmed would of been him, he didn't expect the kind of backlash he's facing now.

That'll be inhumane to keep him that long behind bars.

Open your heart. Not just because of the decision he made, but because that country is absolutely terrible. Just a few days ago, he executed one of his top people for slouching during his speech by gunfire, the man was around 70.

It goes far beyond our reach, but that place will be the reason why we enter war one day.

A lot of people mature through experience and support not by age. I didn't think myself I'd care the first time hearing this story. You'll understand when you hit a certain age you yourself made mistakes and subconsciously expect forgiveness. Things happen.

There's no excuse for that kind of stupidity.

You don't just book a vacation to North Korea on a whim. Do you think nobody mentioned it was a terrible place and that they don't tolerate... well... anything?

Look at it this way, he's lucky he's an American or they'd have just killed him.
