Well, I've seen someone mention Rose as the worst MVP, I wonder, who you guys consider the most deserving MVP of the last 15 years?

I'll put some here,

In no particular order

2013 Lebron James-
27 game win streak, shot 56% from the field, 40% from 3pt range, 27 points per game, 8 rebounds and about 7 assists, franchise record 66 wins. Best player in the world without a doubt.

2016 Steph Curry-
Thirty points per game on an insane 50/45/90 season. 73 Wins. Nothing more needs to be added.

2004 Kevin Garnett
24 Points, about 14 rebounds and two blocks and five assists. One of the most dominant seasons by a big man, yes, he didn't score 30's a game, but that's the peak year of one hell of a player.

2008 Kobe
Long time coming, though likely not his peak year, the stars aligned for him and he finally got that nod he was waiting for all these years. While some say he was robbed in 06 after dragging his team to the playoffs, 08 I think was really the culimination of all those years. Shame he couldn't top it off with a ring, but a pair of those came right after this year.

Honorble Mention:
2010 Lebron
2003 Duncan

2003 Duncan was arguably the best if you factor in the playoffs

Point given,
But we're talking only regular season, or else Curry and 10' Lebron wouldn't be mentioned.

LeBron 2012

MVP
Chip
Fmvp
Gold Medal

Out played 2nd best player in the league and next best at his position. Faced solid competition through out the conference (unlike 2013) and had a great Finals (unlike 2013)

Very similar to Jordan's 1992 apart from regular season team record.

Not only that, easily one of the GOAT postseason runs of all time

Yup. That 45-point game down 3-2 was one for the books.

But once more, I am trying to put emphasis on the time the MVP award was given.

Before the postseason.

09 Lebron should be HM instead of 10. Just unstoppable going to the rim and his 1st year being an elite defender. 2013 is a little better because he had a better jumper and post game but he was more explosive in 09 and it's close.

James 2013 is the best.

Was the only time I felt like he was legitimately challenging Jordan. That's how amazing he was playing at the time. It felt like Miami would never lose a game.

Basically, you know how everybody says "imagine how scary Lebron would be if he had a jumper"?

Well he had one that season. He was hitting everything.

I remember the game in OKC. Durant had 40 and nobody cared because Bron made him look invisable.

Durant averaged 28/8/5 on 50/40/90 that year on a 60 win team and got ZERO MVP consideration. That's how good James was.

If westbrook does not go down Durant doesn't get that MVP.
Period.

Not that he wasn't awesome, he was.
Amazing and everything.

But it was because Westbrook got injured that he got the chance.

No one.
One of the best seasons ever by a player.
If he can repeat something close to this, he's definetly in the mix for MVP, with or without Durant.

Curry in 16. Only time that I've been reminded of prime Shaq, where no matter what teams did or tried they were helpless regardless how good the teams were. Lebron also on 12-13 was a freak of nature though, it was pretty damn clear then that he was the best in the world.

That OKC game in Feb I think?

I was following it from work via the Box score, and was really bummed I'm going to miss it.

Luckily for me it went into OT and I got home in time to see the last 3 minutes.
What a game.

Crazy ass game winner.

I recorded this game. Watch it off the DVR all the time. And I'm not even a fan of either team.

LOL @08 Kobe being on the list and 09, 10 LeBron NOT being on it.

When you say best MVP season I see 2 options;
The best regular season by an MVP or the best entire season(including playoffs) by an MVP.

If the 1st option is the thing; I guess my choice'd be 2008-09 LeBron.
If the 2nd option is the thing; 2002-03 Timmy and 2011-12 LeBron are at the top on their own.

BTW, I know we felt a bit betrayed with the choice at the time. But I think 2005-06 Nash deserves some recognition. Amare missed the entire damn season and Nash still made them play WCF.

Lastly, I don't like the fact that we got stricted by number 15. Because 1999-2000 Shaq can not be picked and if we were able to pick him, it'd be him no matter what we understand from the question.

The best MVP seasons are the ones that also have an FMVP. Shaq, Duncan, LeBron.

Not arguing,
But I'm trying to limit this to the MVP at the time of being voted.
Aka, Dirk isn't slighted for that meltdown vs the warriors.

Lebron '13 was definitely my favorite in terms of dominance. Dude was damn-near super-saiyan. It seemed like every single decision he made with the ball in the regular season was the right one.

My vision of the best MVP season would be someone that can win the FMVP and championship too.

So that goes to Shaq, Lebron, Duncan.

2000 Shaq
2013 Lebron
2003 Duncan

2016 Curry has an insane stats but I mean, to win the championship is the ultimate goal, and Curry can't even close game 5, so that is out of the options.

Well, two of the guys you picked were one vote shy of UMVP. And Duncan was pretty badass too, though some would say one of his MVPs should've gone to Shaq.

Shaq should have won 2001 award. Not 2002 or 2003. Completely wrong statement.

Also the first player to put up those numbers, have a team with that many wins, and lose haha. Anyways on topic, Durant's 2014 was insane
