Only tine Tim Duncan won was in 2003 becauase Kobe Bryant messed up his shoulder and was tired from 3 peating. Became tired and in 2013 when he messed up his leg and career with achilles tear.

Also Tim Duncan never repeated and was luckybto paky with european prospects while shaq was a diabetic bacon . who ate popeyes during breaks. Got away with his bacon fat arms like a spam can

Maybe you've forgotten the year 1999 when the Spurs swept Shaq and Kobe. And we won't mention all the lost years in between Shaq and Gasol when Kobe either couldn't make the playoffs or lost in the first round.

Kobe has beaten Duncan once and that was in 2008. The other years it was all Shaq.

Kobe was the Lakers best player every time they beat the Spurs from '01-'04

Lakers vs Spurs 2001 playoffs. Lakers win 4-0.

Kobe: 33.3 PPG, 7.0 RPG, and 7.0 APG on 57 TS%

Duncan: 23 PPG, 12.3 RPG, and 4.3 APG on 54 TS%

:confusedshrug: This has nothing to do with your narrative about the other years it was all Shaq. Kobe was the best player in the 2001 and 2008 series.

You notice how no Spurs fans start threads (or multiple threads on one page) stating Duncan > Kobe?

You know why?

Because we already know it Duncan > Kobe (on and off the court)

We don't need to sell it, it speaks for itself.

Cheers

that was 3 seasons and the year they missed the POs they had 3 different HCs plus Odom and Bryant were injured, 2006 Lakers were one shot away from playing the Clippers in the 2nd round, 2007 again they played a stacked Suns squad that simply was better, Kobe was the best player in both series so I don't see what you're getting at.

99 was a lockout season and it was the first time Kobe was a starter, that series he averaged 21/7/4/2 45%FG, Glen Rice was garbage, Fisher was bricking 3s as well and Shaq got outplayed by Duncan and D-Rob

We all know what happened the next 5 times the Lakers met the Spurs, they only lost once in 03 which was the year both Shaq and Kobe were coming off 3 straight championship runs, Shaq wasn't 100% all season and Kobe needed knee surgery after the series, still averaged 32 ppg

Lakers got swept when they were a #4 seed going up against the #1 seed Spurs in '99, 2001 the Spurs had HCA again in the WCF and got destroyed.

No he wasn't :lol

And if Kobe consistently went to the playoffs, I'm sure Duncan would have beat him more.

so what does that mean about the Lebron fans that make threads discussing why Lebron is better Kobe? Does that same formula still hold?
