As a former Bernie supporter, have you always supported the TPP?

I personally don't believe that globalism is the way forward. I would rather we strengthen our trade deals with Mexico, so that our business that currently goes to Asian countries can go to our southern neighbors instead. I would rather Mexico gets more of our outsourced production work than China. More jobs and money going in to Mexican businesses will ultimately benefit America as well.

The TPP weakens any hope of a stronger economic alliance with Mexico, and only will give more money to Asian countries like China. I believe that our dependence on Chinese production and manufacturing is bad for America.

I would say that Trump and Sanders have similar levels of charisma. Trump is more of a showman but both are very charismatic.

Charisma is a natural trait of leaders. People follow charismatic leaders more than they do leaders who are lacking in charisma. It's just how the world works.

Main takeaway: they were both terrible, but there's one key difference between the two.

Clinton was being evasive out of an abundance of caution. She knows too much, and too much of what she knows is potentially dangerous for her in a public setting. She constantly has to filter out between what she can and cannot say in public.

Trump on the other hand was speaking in confident generalities because he has no idea what he's talking about, and is bluffing 100% of the time.

You could tell this easily just by looking at their body language.

Clinton always looks as though she's holding something in - as though she's hiding something from you. Whereas Trump is projecting his insecurity and ignorance onto his listener.

This makes him look more dynamic, even though his character is much more troubling when you think about it - this guy truly thinks he can bluff his way through any situation.

It's the classic duel between the over-prepared straight A student who tends to choke in her oral exams and the high school dunce who charms his way into a "pass". In the end the straight A student still gets a better grade (the dunce barely gets a pass, but that's all he was looking for anyway).

The problem is, democracy isn't school, and voters aren't teachers. The dunce often wins a popularity contest (see Bush V Gore).
